Is a Luxury Car Calling Your Name? Here are the Cars Your Neighbors Are Shopping For, Too
The most visited car brand showrooms, by city.
Are you looking for your dream car or a fancy luxury car? If you’re not sure where to start looking, why not start with what your neighbors are interested in? Luxury car sales are soaring this year, but overall, there are a lot of great options in non-luxury, too.
A recent study by Top Agency revealed the top cars shopped for, and this showed the pop in interest in luxury cars, based on where buyers live. The results are truly mixed. For instance, we just can’t imagine the dinner table conversation: “Should we go with the Rolls Royce Ghost or the Mitsubishi Outlander?” Is that really a question? But both brands showed up in the survey as top shopped brands.
However, if you’re looking to drive something different from everyone else in town, it might be wise to know the most popular cars on your home turf so you can decide if its worth being part of the ubiquitous mass to drive that dream car you’ve always wanted.
According to the study, top luxury cars in the cities surveyed in 2021 found that Tesla ranks #1 in 7 cities, and Rolls-Royce ranks #2 in 4 cities. If Tesla wasn’t first, it certainly landed in the top 5 top in many cities.

Dallas – Rolls-Royce
So, this would be considered my home turf. I couldn’t possibly afford a Rolls-Royce, but now maybe I’ll put it on my vision board. Although with Telsa on the list, I’m thinking it’s another reason for me to at least drive one for a week!

Of course, we all have a diverse set of preferences when it comes to favorite car brands, but a swift-looking car helps to bring it up to the top of the list. Take for instance the Rolls-Royce. That’s a nice looking car all around. Actually, most of the car brands on this top list have a savvy look to them. But I would say the Tesla is more savvy in the tech department, and it’s unique clean air strategy than its looks.
Indianapolis – Tesla

With Tesla at the top of this list, is that ironic or future-forward? I always think of Indy as the land of fast and loud gas engines, not the sleek, silent type.

Not sure if I’m surprised or excited that Tesla was the number one shopped luxury car in Los Angeles.
