Dead to Me, a series on Netflix starring Christina Applegate as Jen and Linda Cardellini as Judy, is a dark comedy about friendship, family, murder, love, and secrets. If you’re looking for a binge-worthy series to stream on Netflix, this one is gold. That is if you have an appetite for dark, twisted humor. And tolerance for a lot of cussing. If not, enjoy the beautiful cars below!

Mama Drives a Benz
If you’ve been watching since season 1, you’ve envied Jen’s sleek black Mercedes SUV. Last season, she drove a Mercedes AMG GLC 43. A grieving, angry widow and mom who sells real estate, Jen loves to drive her Mercedes AMG through Laguna Beach, California while blasting heavy metal music when she feels distressed. This is definitely one fierce ride for a boss mama.

We also see other Mercedes models in season 1 including the AMG GT C, S 560, and GLE 350. And A Ford Explorer police car.

Classic Cars
Dead to Me also features a few classic cars. There’s a stunning 1966 Mustang that Judy was given by her boyfriend Steve on her birthday. Sadly, this was the car that was involved in the crime of season 1 – no spoilers here!– so Steve had it sold for parts to destroy the evidence. On Jen’s hunt for the classic Ford Mustang, we see a yellow one and a red one. Another classic car is the 1978 Chrysler Judy later inherits in season two from the elderly man she takes care of.

Then, there’s Steve’s stunning Mercedes C Class Cabriolet. As if it wasn’t hard enough to watch the Mustang Shelby get crushed and taken apart, we also get to watch a Benz get torched. Jen’s son Parker finds Steve’s car in his mom’s storage unit. Thinking that it was a surprise for his birthday and not a more sinister role, Parker decides to pick up his girlfriend and take it for a joy ride. However, it was in the storage unit to hide evidence linking Jen to a crime –again, no spoilers! Of course, When Jen finds out that Parker drove the Cabriolet, she has no choice but to destroy it in order to protect her son.

The Kia Heart Crusher
At the end of season 2, Jen and Judy are happily riding in a brand new Kia Sportage with a big red bow on it. After Judy comes into some money, she decides to gift Parker the car for his birthday but this photo tells it all. And, that’s where the season ends. Does Parker get to drive his new car? Does Jen come out of the crash ok? Did Judy see who hit them? Guess we’ll have to wait for season 3 to find out!

Dead to Me is the Crazy Series You Need to Distract You Right Now
Will there be a third season? Probably. The series ends on quite a cliffhanger and fans are asking. I really enjoyed this show and recommend it for your quarantine watch list (invite your girlfriends for a Netflix watch party!). It’s fun to watch and will surely keep you distracted. And really, we could all use that right now.
