Here’s What We’re Buying on Prime Day 2024
Sometimes I hate July. Summer is just getting started, I’m just getting my backyard furniture in place and yet, back to school items are already showing up in the stores. To make the most of the season I need to act quick to get things done so I can get busy with some serious down time.
Which is why I’m grateful for Prime Day. Now, I’ll admit, most of the “deals” are not really all that much of a deal; discounts can be small and on things I don’t really want. I always end up abandoning the hunt and making sure I get my money’s worth from my Prime membership to get the things I need.
I thought you might appreciate a bit of a nudge, too: Here’s what I’m buying for our car, our vacation and for my own sanity this Prime Day.
Apple iPad Prime Day Deals: Save Your Road Trip—And School Year
You can get the 10th generation Apple iPad starting at $319 on Prime Day, and while this goes in the “not a great deal” category, it’s also not a bad option for road trips/making peace/summer reading and it’ll transition into the school year as a backup to the laptop, or perhaps in place of one.
Air Pods—So You Don’t Have To Listen To Their Music
These things are life savers. Priced from $68 for the original version, the kids can wirelessly listen to their own music or movies in the car. They can zone out when they need some alone time. They can listen to a podcast or audio book—or at least say they are. And I can listen to what I want to at the same time. Just be sure to get Apple Care. Your dog can chew them up, they can drown in water, or they can jsut stop working, and they are covered.
