Your car should take you someplace beautiful, after all.

There’s no better use for your car than to let it take you away from the city, the stress, traffic, work. And, what better way to get away than hop into a dream car and head out to a luxury Palm Springs resort for a weekend of warm sunshine, relaxation and great food? Yeah, we thought so too.

So, we have partnered with the Miramonte Hotel and Resort in Indian Wells, CA, the Greater Palm Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau and the BMW Performance Center West to bring the team from A Girls Guide to Cars to our first #Drive2Learn conference. But this isn’t just for us; it’s for you too. We’ll share our experiences on social media, including stories about the cars that are showcased, including models from Acura, Lexus, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai.

Miramonte: A Resort for All the Senses

We are thrilled to explore the Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, a Curio Collection boutique resort by Hilton. Miramonte is a treat for ALL the senses, so what better place to begin than with some visuals?

A Treat to See

This intimate desert oasis in the Greater Palm Springs area is set against the Santa Rosa mountains, and complimented by native desert flora, citrus groves and palm trees.  The architecture harmonizes with the soft desert tones, while also reflecting a Mediterranean style complete with terraces and red tile roof. Covered breezeways throughout offer welcome relief from the strong desert sun.

A Treat to Hear

The sounds of the desert will entrance you. At the Miramonte, you might hear: The whoosh of a hummingbird zipping from flowers to feeders. The crackling of a fire underneath a star-studded desert sky.  The laughter of families enjoying the lawn games, bicycles, or the main pool on the property. The record playing on the vintage record player in the Tavern Bar, where a curated vinyl collection awaits your perusal. Or even, the whirring air-conditioner keeping your room a perfect climate. And sometimes, the silence of a desert night is music to the soul.

A Treat to Taste

The dining at Miramonte Resort & Spa is most definitely a treat for the tastebuds. The breakfast, lunch and dinner experience at Citrus & Palm restaurant will awaken your senses with “farm-to-fork” freshness using local ingredients. Chef Paul Hancock also creates delicious tasty “tapas” to enjoy with specially formulated hand-crafted cocktails at the Tavern Bar.

A Treat to Smell

Smell provokes memories and feelings more than a photo can.  Delight in the aroma of a Eucalyptus Steam or a Citrus-scented Treatment at the Well Spa.  Follow your nose to participate in a weekly Sage Burning Ceremony to release, cleanse, and revitalize.  Breathe deep to take in the fresh crisp desert morning air during a one-hour flow yoga session.

A Treat to Feel

The dry heat of the desert climate is a welcome change for visitors from other parts of the country.  You’ll find 3 different pools at Miramonte Resort, each with a different vibe and “feel.” The largest main pool is enjoyed by everyone, surrounded by lounge chairs and cabanas, it’s ideal for families. The Hideaway pool is a quiet adult-only place to cool off.  Then there’s the Aqua Well Pool and River Bench, hidden in the Well Spa courtyard with waterfalls and nooks for ultimate relaxation and privacy. Be sure to discover that for yourself!

The Other Senses: Space and Well-Being

Guest rooms at the Miramonte are spacious, with a furnished patio or terrace accessible right from your room.  A photo doesn’t really do justice, so watch the short video room tour to virtually explore the space!
