The Best Foldable Stroller Wagons for Travel, Family Beach Trips and More

A Girls Guide To Cars | The Best Foldable Stroller Wagons For Travel, Family Beach Trips And More - Best Stroller Wagons

Nothing is worse than arriving at the mall or the zoo and realizing you forgot to bring the stroller.

Suddenly you’re faced with a toddler who will either run around and get lost or have to be carried the whole way. But even strollers can be difficult and cause little ones to get restless. More and more we’re seeing foldable stroller wagons and after a trip to the beach where we got to use one, I can see why!

Foldable stroller wagons usually hold 2-4 kids, making them great for families. And because they are bigger and stronger than normal strollers your kids don’t age out of them as quickly. Some even come with clips to hold an infant seat for the baby who may not be big enough to sit up beside a sibling in the wagon. When we joined extended family for a beach trip my brother-in-law’s family brought a really nice collapsable stroller wagon for their boys and we rented an economy one for our daughter. Trust me, you want the nice version with the padded seats and big wheels!

Economy Foldable Stroller Wagons

If you’re thinking you won’t use your stroller wagon much and you might want to use it for things besides just the kids, a foldable utility wagon might be a good choice for you. I still recommend spending just a little extra for something that is built well and has rubber tires vs the hard plastic wheels, but older kids really would be ok sitting in these wagons for short periods of time!

The MAC SPORTS WTC-111 Outdoor Utility Wagon comes in seven different colors and starts around $90. This economy stroller wagon is smaller than some of the ones below and does not have seats, a canopy or any of the extras, but it is great for hauling sports equipment, garden supplies and even pets. This makes it a great multi-use item than could also be handy at the zoo or walking trail.

Radio Flyer Odyssey Stroll N' Wagon $279

Radio Flyer Odyssey Stroll N’ Wagon $279

The Radio Flyer Odyssey Stroll ‘N Wagon is a step up from a utility wagon. It does come with some padded seat-backs, a sun shade, and one side unzips to convert the wagon into a bench – perfect for watching older siblings play at the ballfield! I like that this one has both push and pull style handles, drink holders and a little basket for snacks and other small items.

Luxury 2 and 4-Passenger Stroller Wagons

This foldable stroller wagon is the one my extended family uses and while it looks and functions like the luxury wagons, the price starts at just $220! The Baby Trend Expedition 2-in-1 Stroller Wagon PLUS is probably what I would buy for our family because it comes with nice padded seats for 2 kids and the seats have straps to buckle the kids in. It also has plenty of storage for drinks and snacks, good size wheels, push and pull options, a nice canopy, and a lay-flat option for when the little one falls asleep and needs to nap. The only downside I can find is the wheels are rather narrow and we like to go to the beach, so I would love to have the option to install wider tires for beach trips!

Keenz stroller wagons run from $500-$850 and some even come with mosquito nets, sun canopies and reclining seats with 5-point harness. Rated for 6-months and up!

Car Branded Foldable Stroller Wagons

And because we love cars and car-branded items for kids we can’t leave out these licensed Jeep and Volkswagon stroller wagons! How fun would it be to have a wagon that matches your family’s vehicle?

Known as the ultimate off-road vehicle, Jeep has licensed a few kid-gear items like walkers, strollers and wagons. I have a basic Jeep wagon that has held up very well and is still used for my 3-year old when we travel. Because of this I would feel very confident buying this Jeep Deluxe Wrangler Stroller Wagon by Delta Children which includes a cooler bag, organizer basket and a car seat adapter for infant seats. I like that it can be pushed or pulled from either end, has 3 modes and the sunshade canopy can cover not just the top but a side as well to block evening sun! This Jeep wagon is $400.
