Sydney Sweeney just Upped her Cool Factor, if that’s Possible

As if the Ford Mustang wasn’t customizable enough, the automaker has teamed up with Sydney Sweeney to offer one totally unique version. The 2024 Ford Mustang starts at $30,920, but you won’t see this model at any dealership. Not only is the paint finished with a custom clear coat, but all of the details added by Sweeney make this Mustang a priceless piece of history. Ford is running a contest right now that is pretty easy to enter, and you can win this Mustang for yourself.

Sharing a Deep Appreciation for Ford

If you were not already aware, Sydney loves her Ford cars and SUVs. She actually learned to drive in her great-grandfather’s old Ford F-100, and she learned to work on vehicles the same way.

Having always had an appreciation for classic cars and a dream of fixing one up, she decided to make this ambitious project her goal during the pandemic and, in 2021, spent well over a year acquiring, learning, and restoring her 1969 Bronco on her own. When Ford saw her enthusiasm and efforts, they approached her, and after working with the automaker on her 1965 Mustang and vintage Bronco, she helped design a one-of-a-kind Mustang that’s now up for grabs.

Sydney said, “It’s heartening to see Ford celebrate individuals who are pushing past stereotypes to do what they love.” No stranger to custom vehicles, many of the details on this Mustang have been inspired by her own Bronco and Mustang builds. You can learn more about those builds on her TikTok, Syds_Garage.

Passion Behind the Scenes

Sydney worked with Laurie Transou, fellow Mustang owner, and the Ford Mustang chief engineer, to help make the perfect version of the sports car. They chose the Mustang for a few reasons, but Transou says this model has an “expressive and individualistic nature” ideal for the transformation. It’s iconic and edgy, and it couldn’t come at a better time, either, as Ford is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Mustang this year. The automaker is assembling Sydney’s artistic vision and also wants one lucky fan to partake in the celebrations, thanks to this fully customized car. There will only be 2 of these special retro-modern Pony cars in existence.

What Makes this 2024 Ford Mustang so Special?

Inspired by Sweeney’s 1965 Mustang, this 2024 model will be painted classic Robin’s Egg Blue and finished with a crushed glass clear coat. It will also have 20-inch chrome rims, color-changing LED stars on the headliner, and signatures from Sydney herself in a few places. The engine and leather seats will feature a Ford x Sydney Sweeney heart bolt emblem.

It doesn’t appear that Ford offers the tan leather seats on any other 2024 Mustang, making it all the more unique. Carbon fiber details can cover the dashboard and a particular version of the previously mentioned logo. Since it is based on the GT trim, the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine has 486 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque. It has a raised wedge decklid spoiler color-matched in Robin’s Egg Blue paint and upgraded Brembo brakes.
