Sorority life has evolved and differs campus to campus and state to state, but one commonality remains: Deciding which sorority to rush is an important decision. One way to help determine which sorority is best for you is your car style, as in “I love the Jeep life, and so do the sisters of AXO.” We went to Owlcation for the lowdown on the top sororities; these are just some of the most popular organizations, there are many more, and the cars that are a great fit for sorority rush and the days after. 

The sisters of Chi O are known for being generally well-respected, sensible and independent, not a go-with-the-crowd group. The national leadership stresses Christian ideals and diversity. 

• Best New Car: Mustang Mach-E. We love the Mach E for its independent spirit, taking the reins of the Mustang life and filling it with electric power. 
• Best Used Car: Mini Cooper. This fun, go-your-own-way car is perfect for tooling around campus and surprisingly spacious for dorm move-ins. And, Mini so belives in the need for one’s own college car that they created the Oxford Edition, which is nicely outfitted and priced, specifically for college students.
• Perfect Fit Car: Toyota RAV4. The RAV4 can be everything to everyone: filled with comforts and luxuries while on the exterior giving vibes of no-nonsense confidence

The sisters of DZ are out to live the entire college life and all that it entails, from the parties to celebrating academic achievement. Known for being inclusive and approachable, fun is a central tenet in the DZ life.

• Perfect Fit Car: BMX X2. This sharp new SUV from BMW is affordable (and as such, practical) yet beautiful (as as such, eye-catching). It will hit all the notes for DZ life. 

Women in this sisterhood know what they are capable of: the ability to attend every party, still make it to class on time and get the grade. Fun is an important value, but so is achievement. 

• Best New Car: Chevy Tahoe. With three rows of seating there’s room for everyone for short hauls to set up events or road trips to Spring Break 
• Best Used Car: Toyota Supra. This fun little sports car is easy to drive and excuses confidence in its sporty charm. 
• Perfect Fit Car: Genesis G70. This fun and beautifully designed SUV is the epitome of confidence: It’s reliable, has a powerful engine and Its design is unique and elegant.

With a commitment to volunteerism and making the world a better place, the sisters of Delta Gamma are seen as kind and accepting of others; they are the opposite of the “mean girl,” making them a popular sorority to join or to interact with.

• Best New Car: Ford Mustang: There is no car that says girl power more than the Ford Mustang, period.
• Best Used Car: Toyota 4Runner: All that muscle and capability tucked into a truck-like SUV that’s filled with comforts. You can do anything in this SUV.
• Perfect Fit Car: Jeep Grand Cherokee: With room for friends, cargo and the muscle to go the distance, no mountaintop or distant beach is unattainable.

Tri-Delt girls strive for the best in all they do, in school, in philanthropic pursuits, in themselves. They still have fun, of course, and they’re competitive there, too.

• Best New Car: Jeep Compass: This is the workhorse of the Jeep family, popular for its well-priced lineup, good power and capability off road. 
• Best Used Car: Mercedes-Benz GLC: The most poplar Mercedes-Benz and for good reason: it’s the perfect size, not filled with pampering details and will last and last. 
• Perfect Fit Car: BMW X3: We love these fun-to-drive SUVs for the excellent drive, perfect size and elegant looks.

This is the sorority that set the tone for the #BamaRush trend, girls who are all in on everything they do, parties, volunteering and of course, sorority rush.

• Best New Car: GMC Yukon: this is the ultimate do it all SUV, with room for people and things, and the muscle to get it done.
• Best Used Car: Ram 1500 Pickup Truck: Every Southern girl needs a pickup truck, and this is our favorite for its posh interiors, beautiful design and a tailgate that’s easy to use.
• Perfect Fit Car: Mercedes-Benz CLE: Parents who know the wardrobe shopping extends to a new car will be drawn to this elegant, capable convertible. It has all wheel drive, seating for four and it comes in a coupe or convertible for those days when the sunshine is too good to ignore. 

This sorority rushes girls from wealthy families who seek an affluent community; they tend to be popular, stylish and accomplished, and strive to excel and meet expectations. 

• Best New Car: BMW X5: This is the SUV that exudes confidence any setting, at school, at home, at work and sets the tone for high expectations. 
• Best Used Car: Mercedes-AMG G Wagen: This ‘if you know. you know’ SUV is the choice of celebrities and persons of note. Getting behind the wheel puts you in that category immediately.
• Perfect Fit Car: Range Rover Sport: this is one of the the most elegant and elevated cars on the road, and it telegraphs that idea inside and out, projecting not just the idea of privilege but an air of taste, too.

This sorority is known for girls who are genuinely kind, caring and involved in campus life. They relish their volunteer opportunities and philanthropic pursuits as much as sisterhood and academics.

• Perfect Fit Car: Jeep Wrangler: This is the back to nature car, the one that keeps us grounded and looking forward to that next trail hike— between fund raisers and classes, of course.

This sorority is known for a sisterhood who are social and popular, and always on or ahead of style trends. Aesthetics, design and style are a worthy pursuit and these sisters are leading it.

• Best New Car: Lexus GX: There is hardly a more delicious and delightful full-size SUV on the road right now, and it’ll simply continue to shine over the years.
• Best Used Car: Audi Q5 Sportback: We are in love, love, love the look and shape of this compact SUV. It’s the ultimate in elegant style.
• Perfect Fit Car: Alfa Romeo Stelvio: This is for the girl who wants her style to set her apart from the crowd, who relishes the elegance of simple modern Italian design and a dynamic and delightful drive experience. 

KD sisters tend to be popular on campus for their independent spirit and focus on personal growth. This sorority has grown in popularity, due in part to its commitment to diversity.

• Best New Car: Buick Envista: This might be the most beautiful new car on the road this year, its elegant lines and posh interior belying its very approachable price tag. 
• Best Used Car: Lexus NX 350: The look and feel of the smaller Lexus SUV will keep its elegance for years and continue to project ambition and independence. 
• Perfect Fit Car: Kia Sorento: These 3-row SUVs are beautiful and capable, and are sized small enough that they are a great option even for solo drivers. Though all that space will come in handy when community events demand time and materials. 

Probably the most empowering sorority of all, this AKA was founded at Howard University to serve Black women as they navigate the glass ceilings of life and work. Focused on key philosophies including public service, scholastic and ethical standards, alumni include Kamala Harris.

• Best New Car: Acura RDX: This very sporty, modern SUV is ideal for drivers who exude confidence and want a car that does, too. 
• Best Used Car: Cadillac Escalade: Always the ultimate in luxury and capability, the Escalade is a reward that will also help you to achieve your next goal. And, its interior was designed by a Black woman, Crystal Windham, and she knows what a girl wants. 
• Perfect Fit Car: Infiniti QX50: The flagship of the Infiniti brand, this compact SUV projects elegance and style on the outside and rewards its occupants with luxury on the inside. It’s the perfect car for arriving, and departing, and everything else in between.

Your car is often the first outfit people see you in, which makes it important to be thoughtful about and how you want to be perceived. It can turn heads, it can project a message about you, and when you need, it can whisk you away, by yourself or with women who will be your sisters for life.
