How Do Billionaires Live? Ask the Man Who is Building the Ultra Luxury Bentley Residences
If you want to know how to live like a billionaire, ask a billionaire. Even the most basic questions, like how to protect your privacy while still having a five-star velvet rope experience or how to keep the wind from blowing out the candles on your terrace, are fair game.
That was part of what attracted Bentley to develop a residential tower, the Bentley Residences, with Gil Dezer, himself a billionaire and developer of other notable towers including Miami Beach’s Porsche Design Tower and Residences Armani/Casa.
The other interesting thing is that each unit has a four-car garage outside the living room. In a 62-story tower.
I was intrigued to understand this, too, so I took a tour with Gil to learn how this works and what life is like in the world of Bentley. And I got answers that paint quite the picture of a new level of refined living. This is what the Bentley Residences will offer, with photos from the model, when construction is finished in late 2027.
This story is 100% human-researched and written based on actual first-person knowledge, extensive experience, and expertise on the subject of cars and trucks.
This Garage is Much More Than Just a Car Park
Drive through Miami Beach and you’ll see lots and lots of fancy cars — Bentleys and Rolls Royces and Porsches. And if you get a chance, peek into the garages of the high-rise buildings along the beach and you’ll see stacked parking, the only way many of these buildings can accommodate resident’s cars. Many residents fill every bedroom while they’re there and many more have more than one or two cars. Parking is a challenge.
When Gil first developed the Porsche Tower, the novel feature was a parking garage attached to each unit on the same floor. With a patented design, elevators can move a car from the valet to the unit.
This allowed two things: the ease and privacy of driving right to your home without having to wait for a valet or walk through a lobby; and for the enthusiast, the opportunity to look at your car any time you want; just peek out the window.
The Bentley Residences take this idea further; each unit has space for three or four cars and can accommodate almost any car — up to about 10,000 pounds.

Are High-Rise Garages—and Elevators—Safe?
Safety is a great question—and a big concern for cities, planning commissions, and developers. So it’s one that Gil and his team approached before designing a condo tower that could accommodate garages attached to the residences.
They came up with a fire-proof and fool-proof system that allows cars to be scooped up and transported to each owner’s garage by a robot. The driver and passengers can stay in the car, or not.
The system allows owners to “call” their car to the valet and to send it up to the garage separately from anywhere— from the lobby, the beach, a restaurant, or their house in Aspen.

Bentley Residences Encourage, But Don’t Require, Owners to Drive Bentleys
In addition to the robotic system, the elevators and garages are equipped with super-sensitive receptors that can tell if a car is started or if a fire ignites. If someone decides to start up a car in the elevator it’ll get a “shower,” as Gil said, from the fire extinguishers in the elevator.
If a car is started in the garage or a fire ignites, alarms will go off. And, the fire suppression system is the same that is found on cruise ships and is deemed to be quite safe and effective.
And, each elevator is capable of holding up to 10,000 lbs., they are large enough to accommodate a Cadillac Escalade, Tesla Cybertruck, or a Bentley Bentayga. And no, owners are not limited to owning Bentleys, but they certainly are encouraged.

Driving Into Your 30th Floor Garage Is Just the First Luxury
When you travel to the Four Seasons or the Montage there’s a process with your car: call the valet or tap the app, then head to the lobby and someone brings your car to you. That’s fine for travel but for daily life?
Life in a large condo poses an issue, though; stacked housing also means stacked parking. So, Gil and the team remedied this with in-residence parking. Four elevators, one on each corner of the building allow owners unrivaled privacy; you can drive into your garage without revealing your outfit, or your barking dog, to the world.
The elevators, which are built by Otis, are designed to be swift and efficient. It takes just over two and a half minutes to reach the 62nd floor from the valet, Gil said. So you can pick up your Shake Shack order and get it home before it gets cold.
Inside the Bentley Residences, You’ll find Modern Amenities and Clever Details
Hop out of your car and walk through your front door and you’re in a posh modern space. The living room, kitchen, and dining space are open concept but also designed to transform so that no one space dominates.
The kitchen has a retractable wall that covers the kitchen counters and sink and the kitchen island has a retractable stone top that pushes back to reveal a cooktop; don’t need it? Pull it closed.
The refrigerator, wine cooler, dishwasher, storage, and more are all cleverly hidden behind wall panels—and the doors are self-closing so you never have to exert yourself by closing a door.
Along either side of the living space is a glass wall: one that looks out to the ocean or the horizon, and another that looks into the garage. And then, there’s the lanai.
A Novel Lanai Doubles the Living Space
The lanai, or Florida Room as the prospectus calls it, essentially doubles the living space. A large open terrace measuring about 1,000 square feet in the model, can accommodate a dining table large enough to seat 20; an outdoor living room, and an outdoor kitchen.
There’s also a heated plunge pool tucked between the lanai and the exterior wall, which you’ll see from your elevator vestibule—and yes, there are 2 elevators; one for people and one for cars.
The large lanais are designed with a full wall of glass on one exterior side so that you get both an expansive view and protection from the wind. Gil promises that the glass wall means that even on a blustery day you can dine by candlelight without swept-away napkins or ruined coiffures.
The lanai was truly my favorite space in the Bentley Residences.
Everyone Will Want to Be Your Guest, But You’ll Have Room
Just off the lanai is the primary suite, a large bedroom with a spa-like bathroom. The shower is the size of a walk-in closet with double overhead rain-style shower heads and a large marble soaking tub. A sliding door from the shower leads to the outdoor shower, which Gil pointed out, can be screened off for privacy, or not, depending on the owner’s comfort.
In the bathroom, there’s a sauna, a towel-warmer drawer in the vanity, and heated floors. A large walk-in closet completes the suite.
Down a hallway past the kitchen is a powder room, a laundry room, and two additional bedrooms with large closets and private bathrooms with a shared balcony between them.
Extra Storage Keeps Your Garage Pristine and Displays Ready
*Most* of us don’t have a garage that we really want to have on display through windows in our living room, no matter how much we love our cars. But the garages in the Bentley Residences are different; they are part of the view from the living room.
So, each apartment includes a bonus space just off the garage that can be used for storage or outfitted however you’d like. The world’s best mudroom? An additional walk-in closet? A mechanic’s shop filled with tools and toys? Owners can outfit this space however they like.
Bentley’s Jewel Design Takes Shape Through Faceted Windows
One of the central principles of Bentley is jewelry, an idea I can totally get behind. To create the first Bentley Residences, the company collaborated on the design with Gil and architects Sieger and Suarez to implement the Bentley aesthetic and philosophy into the Residences.
The result is a clean, fresh space framed by faceted glass and gleaming metal; the windowed walls are comprised of triangles that give a faceted look outside and a soaring view of the ocean and landscape from inside.
Exclusive Amenities Including a Todd English Restaurant—For Residents Only
In fact, Todd English will be a resident of the Bentley Residences, so owners and guests will always have first-hand access to one of the finest chefs and his latest creations—but for residents and guests only.
That’s just the start of amenities, which also include: a full-time concierge and valet staff, a bar, lounge, whiskey bar, cigar bar, room service, salon, game room, kids club, outdoor yoga studio, wellness spa, pet spa, a heated ocean-front pool and beach services including attendants, lounges, umbrellas and dining.
Oh, and of course, full carwash and detailing services.
How Much Does the Bentley Residences Lifestyle Cost?
So you know how much to transfer to cover your purchase, here’s what you should plan: West-facing units are priced at $4 million; Ocean-facing units are priced at $8.5 million. Half floors are available and each unit is decorator-ready with white walls and generic fixtures so you can make your unit your own.
While the model is furnished in Bentley furnishings made of Bentley leathers, fabrics, and trim materials, these are merely a suggestion. They are available to buyers but not part of the purchase.
Monthly maintenance fees cover staff, services, and restaurant subsidies to ensure you’ll always have clean beach chairs, room service, and even a piña colada on the beach when you’d like.
Because even billionaires like to sip a fruity drink and take in the ocean view on a beautiful day.
