Acura’s ELS Sound System: A Great Car Stereo That Makes Music Come Alive
When in Nashville, listen to music.
Last week, a handful of my media counterparts and I had the pleasure of traveling to Nashville, Tennessee to experience the 2019 Acura RDX for the first time! Awesome right!?!?! Yasss, I couldn’t agree more, but it gets even better. We not only had the opportunity to drive the compact luxury Acura RDX SUV on the winding roads of Nashville, but we also got up close and personal with the ELS Studio Premium Audio System.

Day one – The Blackbird Experience
Being the self-proclaimed audiophile that I am, I was super stoked to drive the RDX, plug in my playlist and hear the ELS Audio System for myself.
Although, it wasn’t until we actually arrived at Blackbird Studio that I understood the magnitude of this entire experience. Yes, an itinerary was sent over beforehand, but it didn’t resonate that we were about to experience this leading audio system, in a legendary music studio setting, filled with iconic musicians until I actually crossed the threshold of the studio.
After dinner and a quick tour, we were joined by Southern soul crooners, which included Elliot Scheiner and husband-and-wife duo, War & Treaty who performed and recorded in-studio during the visit. Elliot, I learned, has been nominated for 25 Grammy awards and won 8, for artists such as The Eagles, Steely Dan and Eric Clapton. He’s a true rock star!
After listening to the recording session, we headed outside to 2019 RDX to listen to the duet that was just recorded. It sounded exactly as it did in the studio. I could tell by the sound of the system, the amount of time, patience and passion that went into designing the ELS Studio Premium Audio System. It is truly remarkable.

Day two – The Acura RDX experience
The next day Acura sent us on our way to experience the RDX. I had the Acura all to myself, so I was a bit nervous that I would be driving alone around Nashville. However, it didn’t take long for me to relax, because I immediately switched the vehicle to comfort mode, settled into the leather-wrapped sports seats, and turned on the ELS Studio 3D Premium Audio System.
These amazing features definitely made driving through the winding roads of Nashville even more incredible. Additionally, I was surprised to find out that this luxury vehicle starts at only $37,300.00. Trust me when I tell you that the amount of vehicle you get for that price is impressive. And don’t skip the ELS sound system.
By the time I reached 1892 in Leiper’s Fork, I was famished. Guys – if you are ever in the Leiper’s Fork area please stop in for lunch. Everything looked and smelled delish! I couldn’t leave without getting a pic of the grilled chicken salad I ordered. It was so good I didn’t even need the dressing!
After lunch, we all said our goodbyes and headed to the airport to drop off the vehicles. I was so exhausted from all of the wonderful events that I fell asleep as soon as I got on the plane. I was home before I knew it!
