Mom cars don’t have to be frumpy.

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the colder weather, getting to wear my favorite sweaters, cook meals in the crock pot again (so much easier) and, of course, I love all of the holidays that kick off in October as well. One of my favorite things to do in the fall is visiting our local pumpkin patch. A car that fit the whole family with plenty of room for everyone’s pumpkin made it all the better.

2019 Toyota Sequoia

The 2019 Toyota Sequoia Platinum gave us all that room in a gorgeous vehicle with added luxury features that will make mom feel like a queen. I recently had the pleasure of test-driving the Toyota Sequoia for an entire week and trust me, I did not want to let it go when the time came to hand over the keys. These are some of the features that turned us into raving fans.

2019 Toyota SequoiaTons of Space

The 2019 Toyota Sequoia fits up to 8 passengers and they all get the luxury of riding in comfort. The Platinum edition fit the 7 of us with two center row captain chairs – as opposed to the available bench, which you’ll need to seat 8. My older two boys quickly claimed the captains chairs as their own the second they caught a glimpse of the control for heated seats- hey I guess that is a perk of being older.

The Ideal Mom Car/Family Car/Shopping Chariot

With as many kids as I have (yes, 5!) I love a car that can quickly and easily convert from mom’s taxi cab to mom’s shopping vehicle and the Toyota Sequoia did this perfectly.

What do I mean? Well, I buy a lot in bulk and I often need added cargo space. I loved that the 2019 Toyota Sequoia Platinum offered a one-touch fold-flat feature on the third row. It made switching from passenger space to cargo space a breeze. Plus, the floor folds flat and that is huge too. It made it so easy to load groceries in, pumpkins too!

2019 Toyota SequoiaDrives like a Gem

With the holidays comes tons of events and activities which mean we are driving all over town. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to drive the Toyota Sequoia. I have opted for minivans in the past solely because I had test driven some larger SUVs and quite honestly I was scared to drive them. The Toyota Sequoia was the best of both worlds because it was big enough to feel 100% safe inside but it was also a breeze to drive. I felt completely at ease behind the wheel despite the massive size of the vehicle.

I think part of it had to do with the different options for seat adjustments for the driver. I was able to easily adjust the seat to fit my tiny 5 foot 1 frame. I also loved how the steering wheel telescoped towards me.

Another area that makes the Sequoia great for families are all the safety systems. From cameras and sensors to the standard pre-collision system with pedestrian detection. In busy parking structures and school parking lots with kids darting out in front of you, it was awesome to know that the Toyota Sequoia offered protection using the in-vehicle camera and radar technology. Safety is a huge priority and I don’t think I have ever felt safer in a vehicle.

Extra Perks for Road Trips

With seven of us in a car, things can get pretty squishy real quick on a road trip. However, in the Sequoia there was plenty of storage space to keep all of their devices plus whatever else the kids decided to bring, all stored away and out of sight.

The kids also quickly noticed that there were three 12V outlets. Kids are always looking for where they can plug in their electronics- ha! My boys even tested out their XBox in the car which I can happily report was “Super Awesome” as they put it.
