White Lotus Confidential: What Cars Would the Characters from Season 3 Drive?

Like so many of us, I’m obsessed with White Lotus. Seasons 1 and 2 were great, but season 3, with its charming yet despicable characters, had me completely enthralled. No spoilers here for those who haven’t yet caught up, but just a bit of fun: if you were to see these people out driving around town, what would they drive?
And for those who identify with or aspire to be like these characters—their good sides, at least— what car should be on your vision board? A little analysis of the characters from White Lotus season 3 lends some easy, and not-so-easy, answers.
This story is 100% human researched and written based on actual first-person knowledge, extensive experience and expertise on the subject of cars and trucks.
Victoria Drives a Lincoln Navigator, Without Question

Unendingly worried about being protected, surrounded by her people and being comfortable, the Lincoln Navigator is the ideal bubble for Victoria. Her White Lotus character delivers one wild line after another and is unquestioningly responsible for more spit-takes and guffaws than any other on the show.
When not weighing in with unsolicited opinions and judgy proclamations, she can relax and let the massaging seats, relaxation mode, and premium Revel sound take the edge off. Plus, the Navigator suits her modern but classic style.
Tim Takes on the World in His Maserati Grecale Trofeo

Tim might not choose the bright yellow of our Maserati Grecale Trefeo review model, but in any color, this is the car for Tim: It lets him enter a scene with presence and get away from it quickly when things go wrong. The Maserati Grecale’s elegant proportions and sporty style appeal to Tim’s sense of performance and individuality; it says ‘successful’ and ‘discerning’ at the same time.
Jaclyn’s Fame Deserves a Trophy: Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen

Jaclyn is all about the trophies her career gives her: the younger boyfriend, the posh vacations, the fawning fans at the White Lotus pool. And, the Mercedes G-Wagen that both states her accomplishments and protects her on the road. Would she opt for the electric version, like the one we test drove? Probably, driving an EV can be signal for those who want to set the right tone in life.
Kate Knows What She Wants: Lexus GX

Kate is sure of everything. Maybe. At least she thinks so. Until she doesn’t. But she does know this one thing: the right car means everything and the one to get is the newly redesigned Lexus GX. Or an older model, as long as it’s a GX. Or the LX if you can’t get the GX. Either way, this is the SUV that exudes strength, confidence, and control. Now to decide, which color?
Laurie is All Business, Even When “Business” is Fun: Jeep Grand Cherokee

Laurie is not one to show her hand, so even though she can afford any car she wants, she wants the car that’ll have her back when she needs it. And just because she didn’t go for the Lexus or Mercedes-Benz that her friends drive doesn’t mean she isn’t just as pampered: the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit edition with quilted leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and premium sound delivers all the luxury without the flashy badge. After all, let them think she’s “just” driving a Jeep; that it’s a plush luxury edition will just be her little secret.
Saxon is Going to Conquer the World and He’ll do it in a Porsche 911

Saxon is an ambitious young man who’s following in his dad’s footsteps. And while he’s perhaps a bit too influenced by toxic bro culture, we can’t fault him for choosing a Porsche 911 to drop his first bonus on. It’ll get his adrenaline going every morning as he heads to his office, and it’ll clear his mind at the end of the day. Perhaps if he learns to take care of it—because these cars demand a caring owner, he’ll learn the value of caring for others.
Lochlan Is Searching for Something; His Ford Bronco Will Help Him Find it

Duke or UNC? College or a Buddhist monastery? Boys or girls? Lochlan has a lot to decide, but we get the feeling he’d rather do anything else, mostly get away from all the pressures pushing him in every direction. That’s why the Ford Bronco is perfect for him: he can pop the top, let the sun shine in, and drive off into the hills, rivers, or wherever he’d like and leave the rest of the world behind. And I get it. That’s what I’d like to do pretty much every day, too.
Piper Lives Her Values: Toyota Prius

Piper is one of the few White Lotus characters who knows what matters to her, who knows where she wants to be and what she values most. We can’t see her driving anything other than a Toyota Prius, a car that also clearly knows its values and what it unwaveringly stands for. And it gives her peace of mind that while the people around her are responsible for so much careless consumption, perhaps she can make up for a bit of it.
Chloe Knows Exactly What She Wants, Then Gets it: Range Rover

Chloe’s style is exacting and perfect. She moves easily between young and old, rich and super rich, earnest and questionable. Whatever the language of the set she’s with, she speaks it. And that’s the comfort that the Range Rover gives her: Elegant, modern, minimalist style that moves fluidly between her worlds, too.
Chelsea Loves Capability With Compassion: Toyota RAV4 Prime

Chelsea is a no-nonsense girl, stoic, sensible, unflappable, but she’ll also go the extra distance to make sure she doesn’t tempt the gods. So while she relies on her Toyota RAV4 to get her where she needs to go, she opts for the plug-in hybrid Prime edition so she can drive on electric much of the time and get maximum MPG when she has to rely on the gas engine. It’s what she can do for herself and the world all at once.
Rick Is Complicated. His Nissan Rogue is Not

Rick, like his girlfriend Chelsea, needs a solid SUV that gets him where he needs to go when he needs to get there. He doesn’t have time to mess with the nonsense of a too-fancy car, but he expects the comforts and conveniences, plus the reputation for reliability that the Nissan Rogue gives him. Plus, the car’s name, “Rogue,” fits him; he isn’t really a rogue, but he is willing to do what it takes to get the job done, even if it’s the less-traveled path.
Greg, er, Gary, Doesn’t Really Care, As Long As It’s Nice: BMW 5 Series

Greg, or Gary as he’s known in season 3, is new to being rich, but he seems to be doing it pretty well, evidenced by the 177′ yacht his girlfriend Chloe entertains on nightly. The boat, the house, the pouting over a pricey White Lotus dinner show that the money isn’t making him all that happy, so will the BMW 5 Series in his driveway? He probably bought it because it was the thing to have, advanced, expensive, and beautiful. The difference is that when he drives it, it’ll make him happy, even if the rest of the things he buys do not.
White Lotus OG Belinda Finds Peace of Mind in the Lexus RX 450h

We first met Belinda in season 1 of White Lotus. She returned for season 3 just as fraught and unsure of things a few years later. And I can’t blame her for her constantly furrowed brow; she has a vision for her future, but a nagging sense that a secret will unravel and derail things is a dark cloud over her. Luckily, she can hop into her Lexus RX 450h, a luxury hybrid SUV, and, with her son Zion in the passenger’s seat, speed away from it all.
The White Lotus guests are a complicated bunch. Complex, messy, human, intriguing. But they sure do drive nice cars. And now, to wait, wait, wait for White Lotus … season 4.
