Jeep and Vineyard Vines Created a Collab. Here’s What We’re Eyeing—and the Jeeps that Are the Perfect Complement
Back in the ’90’s when Vineyard Vines founders Shep and Ian Murray decided to scrap the grind and chase the dream, they began by selling ties from the back of their Wrangler on Martha’s Vineyard. Fast forward 26 years and now, they’re selling Jeep gear and giving away a custom Jeep Gladiator, replete with the smiling whale logo (keep reading for entry details).
This might actually be the most perfect partnership. When we think of windswept New England sand dunes and sailboat-dotted seas, we see a vintage Jeep climbing those dunes or towing that boat. A more modern picture might include a Wagoneer or a Wrangler Rubicon with the doors and roof removed—capable and comfortable.
Here’s the Vineyard Vines/Jeep collaboration collection and what we would pair with each piece. We hope the collection endures (and that it soon includes more female-focused pieces, and perhaps some ducks!).
These Brands Get How We Live
Vineyard Vines has a saying: Every day should feel this good.” We agree! And that means putting the top down every time you can and letting your pup stick his nose out to take in the breeze. We love this simple white tee with a front pocket that symbolizes what life at the beach…or lake, or mountains, or ranch…should be. Rear window tee, $45.
What We’d Pair It With: Classic Wrangler
The Wrangler is ready to hit the road when you are and welcomes your pups along for the ride. Put the top down, take off the doors and let the sun shine in. Read: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Review: The Ultimate Adventure Machine
All Weather Is Good Weather In a Jeep
We don’t love fair weather cars … or fashion. Vineyard Vines gets that and plans for those days when you need a little extra warmth so you can still put the top down and feel the wind on your face. Shep Shirt, $148
What We’d Pair It With: Grand Cherokee 4xe
We love a stylish quarter zip and a stylish Jeep Grand Cherokee, here, the 4xe Summit edition, which features top of the line finishes and materials, yet is still as capable on the off-road as a any Jeep. A Sturdy Tote Is Always a Must
We LOVE our Vineyard Vines totes. I have several that have many years and many miles on them and I’m not ready to give them up yet. They carry beach blankets and sunscreen in summer, beanies and gloves in winter and always have a home in our trunk. Now, there’s one to match your Jeep. Vineyard Vines large tote, $148.
Doesn’t That Tote Pair Well With this Grand Cherokee L?
A full-size SUV with seating for 6 or 7 demands extra totes and storage. I’m always looking for an extra bag to bring water bottles, snacks and sunscreen with us, and to carry trash into the house at the end of the day. Read: 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L 3-Row SUV: A Grown Up Jeep
For the Pro Off-Roader in Your Life, a Trail-Ready Performance Shirt
This short sleeve shirt is feature-filled: Made of performance fabric that’s perforated for air flow, it has a back vent, snap closure and zippered pockets. It even has a swatch of fabric in the lower corner for cleaning your sunglasses. How thoughtful! Perforated Performance Short Sleeve Shirt $128
What We’d Pair It With: An Off-Road Ready Wrangler
New or vintage; stock or modified; two doors or four, when outdoor adventure is on the agenda, you have to be prepared. And, be prepared to jump out and spot your friends as they crawl the trail. The Wrangler makes it easy to be both a good friend and a good off-roader. Read: Planning Your Easter Jeep Safari Adventure
Everyone Needs a Jeep Cap!
Available in several colors, this cap says it all, in simple terms. We like this vintage olive drab with a heritage feel, both in the logo and the military green color. Jeep 5 Panel Hat, $36.
What We’d Pair it With: Jeep Recon
We’re getting a little futuristic here, but we can’t help it: We can’t wait to meet the Jeep Recon, an all electric Jeep that does all the Jeep things, but silently. You’ll need that cap, and sunscreen and bug spray for silent forays into the wilds. Read: It’s Jeep 4xe Day, And There Are Some New Electric SUVs Coming Our Way!
Finally, Something to Dress Up Your Dude
A dress polo with the “Sarge” logo is a brilliant way to get him to ditch the old tee for a dressier look for summer dinners out. And he’ll be comfy; it’s made of lightweight performance fabric and it’s wrinkle-free, perfect for packing. Jeep Collection St. Jean Strip Sankaty polo $110
