The 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron Gets an Electrifying Boost
Hold onto your seats because Audi is shaking things up with a lovely refresh of the popular Audi Q4 e-tron – a zippier and more efficient electric SUV that appeals to my comfort levels as much as it does my thoughts on carbon footprints.
With 40 more horsepower than its predecessor, this electrifying compact SUV now boasts a total of 335 hp, making it even quicker on the road. Plus, you’ll enjoy a longer driving range of 258 miles, perfect for those weekend getaways.

The Driver’s Seat Will Look Familiar, But Don’t Let That Fool You
Starting at $55,200, the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron saw a price increase of about $5,000, but that covers a lot of improvements, including new cell chemistry and thermal management that can now fast charge from 10 – 80% in just 28 minutes. What hasn’t changed much is the look of the interior which is still modern and elegant, with a floating center console and a flat-topped and flat bottom steering wheel for better visibility.
The Audi Q4 e-tron is a Powerful Boost to Your Daily Drive
That’s already a hefty upgrade, but Audi’s engineers haven’t just focused on performance under the hood; they’ve also fine-tuned the suspension and steering for a more balanced and dynamic driving experience. You’ll feel the difference as you effortlessly carve corners and glide over bumps, all while enjoying the trademark Audi sportiness and agility. Plus, the Audi Q4 e-tron now offers a new optional 21″ wheel package that not only looks sharp but also enhances the overall driving experience.
To top it off, Audi truly listened to their Q4 drivers and even improved the brake pedal feel and reduced the “pedal travel” or distance the pedal moves.

Signature Handling in this Audi Q4 e-tron Package
Back in 2022, I was fortunate enough to attend the Audi Q4 press drive event in Oceanside, California which, oddly enough, was around the time that I was trying to move to Oceanside. Audi planned a beautiful drive route from the iconic California coastline through the rolling rural hills of Temecula wineries, some 30 miles away. It truly allowed the vehicle to shine.
Now, two years later, I actually live in Oceanside, and I was able to retrace the exact same drive route in this shiny new refreshed Q4, and, let me tell you, it’s everything it was and more: efficient, fun and powerful.

The Audi Q4 e-tron is the PERFECT everyday electric car. It’s compact but has a spacious interior capable of seating 5 adults and a ton of cargo. The improved power in all-wheel drive has a 0-60 of 5 seconds, which is more than enough to zip you in front of a line of traffic or zoom onto an entrance ramp.
An Even More Fun Drive Experience
The new suspension and steering are tuned with Audi’s DNA to ensure that the Q4 is responsive and easy to maneuver. You’ll notice this as you cruise right over bumps and divots. It’s a comfortable pleasure to drive, and I loved taking it from bustling city streets out onto the open road, then onto curvy hills, where the steering shined.
But the Audi Q4 e-tron isn’t just an everyday EV: With the improved range and new, upgraded fast charging, it’s ready to road trip, too.
Some Extra Fun Features of the Audi Q4 e-tron:
- The Augmented Reality head-up display is a premium, fun, and easy way to navigate without ever looking away from the road.
- The water bottle holder integrated into the door even fits my giant bottle and tucks it out of the way and out of sight.
- The expansive glass roof has great IR tinting and can open up at the swipe of a finger or engage the fully opaque cover at a swipe in the other direction.
- Matrix-Design LED Headlights make me feel cool day and night
- The sleek Sportback styling reminds me how fun it is to drive an Audi
Audi Succeeds at Approachable, Premium Electrification
Changes to the Audi Q4 e-tron take it from good to really good; while it’s not one of the most powerful cars on the road, 335 HP is enough to feel great accelerating on a fun road and to give you confidence passing a truck or merging onto the highway. Added luxuries like augmented reality, matrix headlights and a panoramic sunroof make this affordable EV feel much more expensive than it is.
It’s the electric boost that’ll convert even the most skeptical drivers to the electric driving revolution.
