2020 Ram 1500 Eco-Diesel Pickup Truck Facts

We recently spent some quality time in the 2020 Ram 1500 Eco-Diesel Rebel pickup truck.

We’d driven this before at a few events, but we hadn’t tested it out for a full week, with the family and day to day life. So while we already knew we really liked this truck, we were pleasantly surprised to find that after a week of living with it, we loved it even more than we thought we did!

Looking for our full review of the 2020 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel pickup truck? It’s right here.

Of course, we have all our personal opinions in a full review post, but we know some of you like the stats, so here are the facts.

Who the 2020 Ram 1500 Eco-Diesel Rebel is For

  • Families with 2-3 kids. This truck has space for everyone! Even the big kids.
  • Couples with pets.
  • People who haul and tow light to medium loads.
  • Anyone who loves trucks, but needs a vehicle with good fuel economy.

How Much This Truck Costs

The starting price for the 2020 Ram 1500 is $32,145. This is the barebones, Tradesman edition, with the quad cab configuration. It’s 4-door, but not the full 4-door like the crew cab which would bring the base up to $35,245. Next, we’ll need to add-on the diesel engine, bringing the base price for this truck up to $40,030. This seems very reasonable for a full-size, 4-door truck that gets an average of 32 miles per gallon on the highway, don’t you think?

Then come the packages. The Eco-diesel engine is available on all 6 models of the 2020 Ram 1500, starting with the Tradesman we outlined above and finishing with the Limited which starts at $62,250 in the 2-wheel drive configuration, with this engine.

The model we drove was the 2020 Ram 1500 Eco-Diesel Rebel Crew Cab, which is the 4th-tier and with this engine starts at $48,880 and only comes in 4-wheel drive. Ours was also equipped with some options that brought the total MSRP of the truck to $63,650, including delivery charges.
