When I see a VW bus I see freedom, fun & road trips.
It seems there is nothing you can’t do with a VW Bus. Go where you want, when you want. Can’t find a hotel? No problem! Bring a blanket and a pillow (you have room!) and sleep under the stars in your van. Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring all your stuff. They were economical, easy to drive and fun to have.
And, they are becoming more popular as they evoke emotions and memories of a time gone by. The old VW bus looks super cool and stand out. They are eye-catching; you notice them and glance a little longer.
It’s no wonder VW is bringing it back soon, this time in a fully-modernized, safety-tech filled, electric version.

Volkswagen Vans of Instagram That We ❤️ and Why We Love Them
To see if I was alone in my obsession, I asked my friends what they think of a VW bus. Turns out, these fun, nostalgic busses spark a memory or emotion in everyone! Here’s what my friends had to say.
Shirley sums up why we first fell in love: “VW vans were really cool to own in the 60’s. People use them like a camper. Nowadays they are family friendly for the whole family. Economically good on gas! They always bring a smile to my face because they are so cute. I’ve never owned a van but have had VW Beetles. They are very well made and the dealerships are very helpful in helping you maintain your vehicles!” Serious flower power of this VW Van makes our hearts happy.
Kerri put it simply: “I think they’re sweeeeet.”

Fast Forward to the Future: ID Buzz is Coming Soon!
My friend Richard points out the challenge of the new vans that are in the works: “I’m looking forward to seeing how the new VW microbus turns out. The plans are for all electric, but the appeal of something like that is cross-country travel, too.” It’s expected to have a third row, all wheel drive, about 300 HP and more than 250 miles of driving range on a single charge. And, we’ll get a peek at it on June 1, 2023 – we can’t wait!
