Hit The Road With This Moody Winter Driving Playlist
Sometimes, you just need a winter driving playlist fit for a moody day.
You know what I’m talking about—the kind of music that makes you want to put on your best pensive expression and pretend you’re in a music video for a while. It’s okay. I don’t judge. We’ve all been there.
I’m here to say that there’s nothing wrong with indulging in those moods every now and then. That’s exactly why we’ve put together a playlist designed to make the most of your winter funk. Put this on while you’re running errands, or let it play all the way through when you’ve got a longer drive on your hands.

Flatlands by Chelsea Wolfe
Chelsea Wolfe is my go-to for the bad weather months (and even when I’m feeling grumpy during the summer), but Flatlands is the perfect song for driving around on a gray, cloudy day. A gorgeous acoustic melody paired with Wolfe’s haunting voice, and you’ve got an ideal song for winter driving.

The Killing Moon by Echo & the Bunnymen
Killing Moon is an absolute classic for the moody bunch. This song goes into heavy rotation for me once Halloween rolls around, and I don’t stop until the leaves start budding on the trees again.
Coming Down by Dum Dum Girls
While Dum Dum Girls are normally on my spring playlist, Coming Down is perfect for when it’s, well, coming down. A great song to sing along to on a nice, snowy day.
Duelist by True Widow
Despite the fact that True Widow hails from Texas, their music is a perfect pairing for winter weather. It’s one of the more rock-like songs on the playlist, but I think you’ll find it’s perfect for the days when the sky feels like it’s closing in on you.
