The American automotive market invented the sport utility vehicle segment, after all, and it’s hotter than ever—here and everywhere. SUVs are becoming more spacious, and more options can be found at every price point.
But what is luxury, really? Does it mean you have to spend six figures on a car? Everyone’s definition will vary. When it comes to cars, though, it does not necessarily need to be huge, precious or unaffordable to be luxurious.
Brands like Ford, Chevrolet, Cadillac and Lincoln are leading the industry with innovative vision, special design touches, and lots of optional goodies. Here are the best of the best luxury SUVs from American car makers.
The SUV That Started It All, The Lincoln Navigator
Lincoln took a huge leap when they took the platform of the Ford F-150 and created an enclosed cabin to create a luxury SUV, resulting in the Navigator. A redesign is due soon, and we can’t imagine what that will look like; the current Navigator is so dang fantastic. See what we think of it here, and our video walk around here.
