Almost a year ago, I purchased the Audi A5 Sportback with the Premium Plus Package. I’ve come to love this small luxury 4-door sedan so much so that I’ve named it “Sexy Beast.” It is the perfect luxury car for stylish working mamas like myself. No need to sacrifice style for safety here, ladies.

Top Safety and Crash Ratings Due to Top-Notch Safety Features
As a mom, the first thing I look for in a car is how safe it is for my family and what safety features are included. The 2019 Audi A5 Sportback with Premium Plus Package has earned top safety ratings from both Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It boasts safety features such as blind-spot monitoring and rear parking sensors come in handy when dropping kids off to school or to school activities, ensuring safety in busy parking lots and drop-off lines.

Plus, Apple CarPlay is standard and enhances the entertainment experience, giving me access to all my favorite music and apps, thus improving my driving experience-without interruption.

Just Because I’m a Mom Doesn’t Mean I Don’t Like a Fun Ride
In addition to its safety features, which made me choose the A5 Sportback was its performance. I’m a mom, but I love a sleek and sexy car that performs well. With its 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, it delivers on agility, speed, and performance. I can safely zip from work to many of my son’s games while jamming to my favorite tunes via the Audi MMI infotainment system.
Yes, it’s Great on Gas, Too
Zipping through traffic doesn’t mean I lose on fuel economy either. In fact, I can max out at 34 MPG on the highway and about 28 MPG city. This just means I have more money to put towards important things like clothes and shoes, oh and my son’s sports equipment.
Small Luxury Car with the Versatility of a Crossover SUV
The hatchback offers the versatility of a crossover SUV perfect for moms who need trunk space but prefer the sportier edge of a sports sedan. The Audi A5 Sportback is equipped with a power-operated liftgate opening to, for a sedan of its size, a large cargo space. You get 21.8 cubic feet with the second row upright, and 35 cubic feet with the back seat folded down.
With a large and pretty wide hatch opening, I can easily fit all my son’s athletic equipment in the trunk. Not many small luxury cars can do the same.

Is the Audi A5 Sportback Good for Moms with Small Children?
Since the Audi A5 Sportback is equipped with two sets of rear LATCH child-seat connections as well as an additional tether in the middle seat, I wouldn’t suggest it as a car for moms with two small children that require car seats.
With having two car seats or boosters in the rear, very little room is left for an additional older child or small adult to fit in the rear seating. Since I have a teenage son, the A5 Sportback is the perfect small luxury vehicle for me.
