Aunt Jean came to visit and went home a new Kia owner.

She visited me on vacation and it just so happened I was test driving a new Kia Sedona minivan. Aunt Jean was so impressed by the Sedona that after a few days, she called my uncle and asked him to set up a test drive for when she returned home. Yep! She loved it that much!

This is not the first time she has been with me during a test drive. But this is the first time she loved a car enough to call her husband in Michigan about it.

When she came to visit the next time, I happened to be test driving the Kia Sorento. Although she didn’t phone home this go around, I could tell that she was very interested in this SUV and the Kia brand as a whole. Last month, she and my uncle paid a visit to the Kia dealership in Michigan and leased a 2019 Kia Sorento ES.

This brand knows what customers want. It’s all in the design, ease of driving, comfort, and pricing. From my Aunt Jean’s big smile, I just knew she was a happy new Kia owner. And I am so happy to have helped her find her new car.

Here’s What Aunt Jean Had to Say About Her New Car.

Aunt Jean has had her Kia Sorento for a month now so I decided to call her and chat about her experience. I’m always curious to know whether a person is happy with their purchase and what they love about their cars. Everyone has a story.

Dawn Gibson-Thigpen: What made you go with the Kia Sorento?

Aunt Jean: I love the Sedona… but the Sorento was a bit more sporty, provides a hint of luxury and it provides more of what I am looking for in a vehicle.

DGT: Did you buy or lease?

AJ: I decided to lease with the option to buy after three years because I like the fact that they take care of everything. If there is a scratch they will fix it, and I love that if a person was to black out and can’t call 911, emergency assistance can find you and dispatch an ambulance.

DGT: Wow! That is impressive!

DGT: Did you get it from a Kia Dealership? If so, what was your experience like?

AJ: Yes. It was a Kia dealership. The Kia salesperson provided excellent customer service and he was very thorough. I feel like he went above and beyond.

DGT: How does it feel when you get behind the wheel to drive the car?

AJ: It feels like I’m driving a 3-in-1 vehicle. A truck, station wagon, and a car all combined and I love it!

DGT: A 3-in-one? Love it! What is your overall impression of the SUV now that you have had it for a few months?

AJ: I love the way it handles! The interior and the look of the dashboard is extremely impressive and I love that ALL of my friends love it and are a little jealous!

DGT: I love the color! Why did you pick red?

AJ: It was the snazziest color out of all the ones they had to offer.

DGT: Based on your current experience, do you think you would purchase another Kia?

AJ: Well I really don’t know at the moment. I have to say I am very satisfied and happy with this decision, but because I have only had it for a few months I am not sure yet.

DGT: What are some of your favorite features?

AJ: Sitting up high for one. Also, the Bluetooth capabilities and the hands-free phone. Oh, and that it’s at a height where I don’t have to step up when getting inside. My husband and I can just slide into the vehicle.

DGT: Does this Kia fit all your needs?

AJ: Well, I wish it had an actual trunk. That’s the one thing I miss. I’m old school like that.

DGT: Makes sense. Would you lease again?

AJ: Yes, because of the perks. It takes a lot of stress off both my husband and me.
