Houston. Fancy cars. Awesome trucks. Let’s go shopping!

What might be our favorite auto show of the year, the Houston Auto Show, is on right now at Houston’s NRG Center. If your’e in South Texas, you don’t want to miss it.

The fact that the show raised $100,000 for Texas Children’s Hospital to help fight pediatric cancer is a good reason this show is close to our hearts, but that’s only part of it. We also love the Texas tenacity that this show brings in showing off all that the auto world has to offer in the country’s fourth-largest car market.

But First, Luxury Cars!

Houston is Aston Martin’s second largest US market, so the Houston Auto Show was the perfect place to reveal the DBS Superleggera Tag Heuer edition, a $400,000 car that was nearly immediately swept away to be shown to potential buyers. However, there are still plenty of exotic and luxury cars to be seen at the show.

Next, Trucks, Trucks Everywhere!

Not only did Ram decide to reveal the 2019 Heavy Duty Longhorn Edition in a special event on opening night, but the most awarded truck of the year is on display with a variety of models for show guests to climb in and explore.

Not to be outdone, Jeep has the new Gladiator pickup truck on display. Buyers can see what Jeep calls the “perfect truck for Texas,” because it can tow up to 7650 lbs and haul 1600 lbs. That means buyers can now tow the RV into a field, haul dirt bikes in the truck bed and still off road in the Jeep. The ultimate weekend getaway.

And Nissan proudly showed off a partnership with Rocky Ridge Trucks, a custom shop that adds details from lift kits to running boards to bad-ass bumpers to extra luxurious seats to provide enhanced off-road capability and on-road comfort.
