Weekly Rewind: It’s Our Good Luck, And Yours, That Jill Ciminillo Reviews Cars
Updates from our weekly newsletter, which you can subscribe to here.

Back in the day when I was first getting started writing about cars, her name kept coming up. Jill Ciminillo, an accomplished automotive writer, video talent and a fixture in automotive social media is a force of nature. She’s tiny in stature but big on knowledge, opinion and energy. In the time since I first met her, she’s grown tremendously: She’s raced in the Rebelle Rally three times (2025 will be her fourth rally) grown her social media following, expanded the media sites where you’ll find her work, served as the president of the Midwest Automotive Media Association and became a juror for the North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year awards.
You’ll even find her in our pages, and more often, in our photos and videos as we collaborate occasionally on content. We are all lucky to have Jill’s sharp wit, expert eye and voice of reason in our world.

Wondering What One Wears to an F1 Race? We Found Out!

Not long ago we got the most intriguing invitation: Come to F1 in Miami and see what model Winnie Harlow curated for her race experience. Raiding the closet of new and vintage fashion from eBay, she looked smashing. But so did everyone. F1 is not just a race, after all; it’s a VIP, velvet rope, see-and-be-seen event that’s as much about having a truly special experience as it is about the incredible cars, drivers and competition.
And it demands as much style as it does comfort; races are outdoors in mostly warm climates and involve a lot of time on your feet.
I hope you’ll all have the chance to attend an F1 race some day, and thanks to Sara Lacey, you’ll know what to wear.

If This Year’s Indy 500 Race Sounded a Bit More Polished, This is Why

We’ve seen more and more women con camera, delivering play-by-play and insights lately and thankfully, the Indy 500 broadcast is no exception. We sat down with Fox Sports pit reporter Jamie Little, reporter Georgia Henneberry, analyst and reporter Giselle Zarur of the Spanish language Fox Deportes and Pam Miller, who as the lead producer, calling the shots as the race plays out live on millions of TV sets around the globe.
We know—its hectic and busy leading up to any race, but especially Indycar. But they were so passionate about s haring their careers and what they love about motorsports.
Check Out Our Favorite Test Drive of the Week: Genesis GV70!

We took a spin in the revamped Genesis GV70 and lets just say, it’s something special. Genesis updated it slightly in terms of look and feel, but added great new technology, from a new touch screen system to adaptive cruise driving that really takes the stress out of heavy traffic and boring highways.
Luckily, I don’t have to tell you; you can see it for yourself in this video.
Still Electric Car Curious? The Hyundai Ioniq 9 Will Change Your Mind

We also had the chance to drive the Hyundai Ioniq 9 recently and came to this conclusion: This is a car you buy for its style and comfort, not just because it’s an EV. With 300 miles of range, you can drive it and charge it nearly like you would fuel a gas-powered car—and its much easier than you think and costs about the same as gas when using public charge stations.
And it is really elegant and comfortable inside. I drove, rode in the front passenger’s seat and then, after suffering a bout of food poisoning, rode in the rear seat where the car promptly rocked me to sleep rather than exacerbating my illness. I was grateful, and if you shop this car, you will be too.
