And How Do I Join?
A AGirlsGuidetoCars Twitter party is the best kind of party–one you can attend in yoga pants or a robe, while ignoring your kids or after they’ve gone to bed. That’s because it’s a virtual party conducted via Twitter from the comfort of our own homes. Spend time talking about a car girl’s favorite topics, get tips, find answers and connect with our community.
More fun than a traditional party, you never know who you might meet. It could be a surfer in CA, a hiker in Peru, or another mom (or dad) who dreams of road tripping with the kids to Disney.
AGirlsGuidetoCars Twitter parties are fast, fun and fantastic. When we announce one, join by following the party’s hashtag or find us on Twitter (@AGirlsGuidetoCars) to follow along.
If you’re a Twitter newbie, what do you need to do?
On your Twitter home page, type @AGirlsGuidetoCars or the party hashtag into the search box. That will bring up our Twitter feed and the hashtag will show you all tweets with that hashtag so you can follow the conversation.
Saw a story about our next Twitter Party? Mark your calendar. We host parties when we work with a sponsor or have a special event we want to share with you. Most have a giveaway which you can enter by putting your name and some basic information into a giveaway widget in the story about the Twitter party.
Look for our Twitter questions. We’ll post questions or conversation topics every 10 minutes during the party to get you chatting about the topic and get your advice, input and ideas.
Follow the people (or tweeple) on the party. You’ll see a list of our panelists in our Twitter party story, but also follow people whose tweets you find interesting. Chances are they’ll follow you back. (Start by following @AGirlsGuidetoCars.) It’s the Twitter version of exchanging business cards at a networking meeting.
If you want to get in on more Twitter parties, join the TravelingMom Monday Twitter parties every Monday night at 9PM ET (6PM PT); you can follow the hashtag #TMOM to get the latest from the mom’s who’ve been there!.
