The 2024 Jeep Gladiator Pickup Truck Is Now Even More High-Tech For the Off Road
The Jeep Gladiator, all refreshed and ready, makes a splash with enhanced tech features specifically geared to your future off road adventures.
For when simply off roading isn’t enough.
When you need adventure, there’s no better alternative than Jeep Wrangler. For decades an icon of adventure and versatility, it’s the go to for 4-wheelers, adventure seekers and those who don’t have the choice of paved roads. But owners needed more: towing, payload and versatility, without the oversized heft of a pickup truck.
So in 2019 Jeep added a truck bed and more capability to the most popular 4×4 on the road and the Gladiator was born (actually, re-born; Jeep produced the Gladiator from the 1960’s to the 1980’s). With its roots deeply embedded in its heritage, the 2024 Gladiator delivers everything off-roaders who need more payload and towing capacity needed.
For 2024, the Gladiator is new and improved with more customization choices, Jeep’s top new technology, better navigation for off-the-grid trails and more safety features – many features that were added to the 2024 Jeep Wrangler. We were ringside when Jeep pulled the cover off the 2024 Jeep Gladiator at the Detroit Auto Show and this is what is in store.

Let’s Talk About the Tech
Gone are the days of affixing iPads and things to your dash to get trail information. Jeep added more connectivity, intuitive navigation, and more entertainment options to the Gladiator for 2024. This starts with the eye-catching 12.3-inch screen and the updated Uconnect 5 multimedia system. Enjoying the open air but can’t see the screen? That’s not a problem; this new display offers a sleeker design, better color enhancements, and crisp, sharper text so it’s always visible. The 12.3-inch high-resolution display, which runs on the Android operating system, will benefit from over the air updates, is faster and more powerful than its predecessor.
Here are the details I look forward to most:
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto lets users easily integrate their smartphones and access apps, music, and maps, deepening the seamlessly connected driving experience
- UConnect is 5 times more powerful than the previous screen. Meaning fewer lags and faster processing
- The upgraded touchscreen is auto-dimming, with white screen options and enhanced function for better visibility during open-air driving. If you have ever tried to access your touchscreen in the sunshine and failed because it was too bright outside, you will love this
- Over-the-air updates – no more taking your Jeep back to the service department for updates to maps and more. It will come over the air as needed
- Alexa Voice assistance – Alexa voice control is built in
- A new digital driver information screen with a blended digital and analog driver displays. You can pull up your pitch and roll stats right here when you’re on the trail

Off-Road Pages and Trail Cameras and Adventure Guides – Oh My!
The Jeep Gladiator has a beefed-up navigation system, and it’s next level. It provides detailed trail maps, topographic information, and real-time weather. The Gladiator’s Uconnect system includes Off-Road Pages, which provide essential information about the vehicle’s performance, including pitch and roll, and altitude. This data helps drivers navigate challenging terrain with precision.
The Gladiator will have a trail camera so you can see and experience more. When you’re climbing and can’t see the trail, or terrain, around you, you can pull up this hi-res camera for safety and confidence.
Gladiator will also now have Jeep’s Adventure Guides feature; this is Jeep’s solution to the long-running complaint that it’s difficult to plan off-road trips. In the past, customers had to scour books and apps to plan an off-roading adventure. Built-in Adventure Guides offer customers complimentary access to over 200 trails. You can unlock up to 5,000 trail guides with an additional paid subscription. All of this info is integrated into the Uconnect 5 system. It can also send coordinates to a trail and has “follow mode” that displays popups and waypoints along the route and allows backtracking and reverse navigation. So brilliant.

Capability Is Not a Compromise
Need to haul 20 blueberry bushes or a bunch of gear to the beach or campsite? Go for it. The 2024 Gladiator has a payload rating of 1,725 lbs. Just think of all you could haul in that truck bed. It also offers a mammoth 7,700 lbs. of towing capability. This is born from the 3.6L V6 engine that generates 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
Updated Style That is Still All Jeep
For 2024 the Gladiator will see the style updates that the Jeep Wrangler got, but not to work, it’s still its iconic self: the grille has been slightly tweaked, the 7-slot design produces more cooling for the vehicle’s engine and keeps the classic “Sarge” face. The new look also offers more depth in matte black and matte gray, depending on the trim. And there are 7 new 17” wheel choices, so if you’d like, you can upgrade and further personalize your truck.
Safety First
Although we know Jeep already offers tremendous safety features, I especially like a few things about the 2024 Gladiator’s safety:
- side curtain airbags
- rear seatbelt pre-tensioners
- forward collision warning
- adaptive cruise control
Where Can I Buy the 2024 Jeep Gladiator?
Even though it’s a great daily driver, the Gladiator is not just an everyday SUV; SUVs a companion for your wildest adventures. With the more tech and safety features, it helps you keep connected, informed, and secure at the mall or the mountain top. For all new and seasoned four wheel enthusiasts, the 2024 Gladiator is gives more inspiration to explore the great outdoors.
