Step Into Luxury And Style With 2015 Cadillac Escalade
I recently received a gift in my driveway; I had the pleasure of driving a 2015 Cadillac Escalade Platinum to Ohio. This amazing SUV hugged the roads and curves with elegance and style, the same way a beautiful skirt perfectly hugs our hips!
I did a quick and fun Scope when the vehicle first arrived and over 100 women checked out all the great features of this SUV. If you missed it, you can see it here:

On the first day I took the Caddy to North Jersey to attend a blogging fashion event. Such a fun and comfortable ride! I did not have a chance to put my make up on before our ride, so the large mirrors and adjustable lights were definitely a bonus:
I actually came back twice to place items in the trunk, so the top window feature on the lift gate made my life easier and gave me an excuse to continue shopping without having to hold all of the bags! (As if I needed an excuse to go shopping, right?)
Well-heeled: the power retractable assist step is built for women
The power retractable assist step was also an amazing feature and my heels said ‘Gracias’ for that extra thought. And, for omen like me, who love heels and SUVs, the Escalade has a perfect in and out factor: The power retractable assist step allowed me to comfortably get in the car without having to “hop,” which often happens with our truck. Any vehicle that is sensitive to my comfort is already a winner.
We headed to Ohio the next day where I was invited to speak at Bloggy Conference, a big gathering of bloggers that is held every fall. All the features and comfort the Cadillac Escalade offered made our ride so pleasant that we knew we would miss it when we had to give it back!
Did someone say massage?
Another favorite feature was the massage, available in both front seats. This amazing feature allowed me to enjoy a light massage and lumbar support while driving. You’re probably thinking it doesn’t get any better than that, right? Well, it does!
The Escalade also has cooled/heated front seats and in the back, heated seats.
I also love the special gauge feature, the Gauge Cluster With Driver Information Center, which allows you to check different parts of the car right from the steering wheel! It has a GPS display in there too, and you can control it all right at your finger tips.
The center console cooler is great for keeping your drinks cool even in the upcoming cold months when the heater is on, inside the car! I have never seen that in an SUV.
In the back, we found another super cool feature: The Escalade has not one, not two, but three DVD/Blu-ray players, which will prevent your kids from fighting about who will watch what! It also has separate stereo speakers on each seat. They kept my son busy and happy.
My son is 12 but 6’ tall and he couldn’t stop raving about how much leg room he had in front of him. He even took a nap or two in the third row. He said: “I am in SUV heaven,” which is something because he’s really picky about vehicles. In subsequent test drives, he keeps repeating, “but it’s not a Cadillac, mom!”
The wireless charger is also great; you can use it just by placing your phone on it if it is one that has wireless charging built in or has a case that charges (unfortunately my iPhone 6+ does not have a case for this).
Mabye the best feature of all?
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade has built in WiFi! If you don’t want to use your phone’s data plan, this is a must for kids and for you (Cadillac includes a small data plan with purchase and you can buy more data as you need it). You activate it by pushing the OnStar button and asking for wireless; it will give you the password for your phone, tablets or other devices.
There was so much space in the trunk that I ventured to bring extra luggage and more outfits to pick from, making this Latina Fashion Blogger, muy, muy feliz! I’m so happy to be able to have choices instead of having to fit it all in a small suitcase, which is what I normally do at conferences! The trunk opens with a push of a button and it has plenty of room even with the third row up.
The Escalade set the bar pretty high for us. It’s going to be hard to not be so spoiled from now on!
What We loved
- Power retractable assist step
- Massaging front seats
- Center console cooler
- 3 DVD/Blu-ray players
- Built in WiFi
- Amazing pick up on the highway! Love the roar on the engine when you need it; it responds really well
What You Need to Know
- The price tag matches the bells and whistles, after all, you’re paying for more options and more comfort. Base price is $91,875; total price for model I drove, $94,565
- Listed at 17 miles per gallon in the city and 21 on the highway; we actually got 22.3 on the highway
- It runs on regular gasoline
- The wireless cellphone charger was not compatible with my phone, nor with my husband’s and my son’s Android devices.
Cadillac loaned me the Escalade Platinum for the purposes of this review. Opinions expressed are my own.
