What do you think of autonomous cars?

Self-driving cars are coming. It’s only a matter of how soon and how willing the public is to put their trust in the technology. At this year’s New England Motor Press Association/MIT Technology Conference, your readiness for self-driving tech will be the hot topic for discussion so let them know what you think.

The MIT AgeLab is conducting this survey in an effort to find out what the public really thinks about all the fancy new tech coming down the pipeline. You may have some of it in your car already. That automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist on your new ride are the early stages of self-driving cars.

It’s a big shift in how we view cars and not everyone is comfortable with the idea. What about you?

Imagine a time when you no longer even own a car, but share one that you can call to your home to pick you up, drop you off, and then move on to the next person. The idea sounds a little space age, but it’s closer to reality than you might think.

No matter how well the technology works, if the public isn’t on board, then these cars aren’t going to be a hit. Are you ready for the future?

Take the survey and let the folks at MIT know exactly what you think. It only takes about 5 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. They’ll be discussing the results at the NEMPA/MIT Technology Conference on May 26.
