The 2015 Chrysler 300S AWD brings our family together.
A few weeks ago my family and I left Tucson on a road trip adventure with my mom and two sons. We were headed to our family reunion at Lake James in northern Indiana. My grandma’s family has been holding a family reunion at Lake James for about 40 years and easily over 100 extended relatives show up for the event each year. We attended the first time 2 years ago and my boys fell in love with all the outdoor fun. From swimming and sand castles to nature hikes and catching lightning bugs, they had a blast.

The boys had been eagerly awaiting our special summer adventure ever since school let out in May. While driving all the way from Arizona is certainly a possibility, we opted to fly to Chicago and start our road trip from there. When we arrived in Chicago we picked up an awesome road trip vehicle, a Chrysler 300S.
Now I have to admit I am not really a car girl. I prefer SUVs, so when I found out I would be reviewing a Chrysler 300s, I didn’t bat an eye. My husband and good friend were impressed though. Both said they’d love to drive a 300. I just didn’t get it though. To me, a car is a car.

Well, I was wrong. The Chrysler 300S is an AWESOME car. It’s fun to drive and has pretty good gas mileage. Most importantly it had plenty of space for a comfortable road trip. The boys loved having extra space to stretch out during the trip. They also loved how the rear ventilation kept them cool.

With Southwest Airlines’ 2 free checked bag policy, we didn’t skimp when packing for our trip. Luckily the trunk space was also generous. We managed to fit one large suitcase, three small suitcases, a small duffle bag, plus $70 in groceries we picked up on the way to the resort into the Chrysler 300 trunk space.

I was really impressed with the navigation system because it helped me find my way from Chicago to northern Indiana easily. Later on during our trip, the Chrysler 300 navigation helped us find a Bison farm. After driving on the crazy country roads, I am sure we would have gotten lost if we had tried following a map.

The navigation popped up on the driver display in addition to the center console. It made it easy to check directions when my mom was using the center display to look for restaurants or change the music.

When navigating the busy Chicago freeways, I really appreciated the extra detailed display. It helped me stay in the correct lane and not miss my exit.
I drove the entire time but if I had been on a road trip with my husband, I would have been sleeping most of the way in the passenger seat. The passenger seat reclined really far back and would be a huge improvement to my current vehicle situation.

I really loved the included safety features on this Chrysler 300S AWD. There are over 80 standard and optional safety and security features available. My favorites were the rear back up camera, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, and blind spot monitoring.
I wasn’t able to get a good picture of it but the boys loved the sun roof. They constantly wanted to have it open with the air coming in. Overall I was really impressed with how comfortable the Chrysler 300S AWD was to drive. It’s a car that impressed this SUV-loving girl.
