NASCAR supports the Driving for Good campaign

NASCAR supports the North Texas Food Bank.

If you live in the Dallas area, you might already know about the upcoming NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 8. But tomorrow there is another important event, a food drive at Klyde Warren Park.

Interstate Batteries partnered with the North Texas Food Bank as part of its Driving for Good campaign. From 11am – 1pm on Thursday, April 7, park goers are encouraged to donate canned, nonperishable food. Anyone donating canned food or $5 gets a free Coolhaus Gourmet Ice Cream Sandwich, the architecturally inspired frozen treat.

The Driving for Good campaign uses specially designed Toyota Camrys to deliver the food. Interstate Batteries has other special events at the food drive, including the chance to win a replica driver’s helmet, #18 crew shirt or diecast car, all signed by NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Kyle Busch.
