How the Kia Sorento Helps to Make Room for What Matters Most: I Got This with Veena Crowholm
Being intentional about time together is where memories are made

You know the drill: Work, school, deadlines and obligations. Squeezing in time to recharge and reconnect can be a challenge—if we can manage it at all.
Which is why making room for fun family time is important to Veena Crownholm.

Core Memories Come From Everyday Moments

After a long day it’s important to take a moment to relax and have a little fun. But when you’re managing a family and all that goes along with it—dinner time, school assignments and preparing for the next day—it can be a challenge.
For Veena the ideal way to take a break for the day is to take the kids to the park. Getting everyone into the car, even dog Bianca and cat Milo, and her boys scooters, is the start of fun family time.
And that’s where core memories are made, she says. Yes, there are big memories from fun trips and celebrations But those daily smiles are what she, and her family, will remember most.

For Veena, though, finding those moments to get away is a must, and her car is an important tool: she needs enough space for everyone, even Bianca and Milo, who love to tag along. She also needs room for the scooters and everyone has to be comfortable, even on a short ride.
In shopping for a new car, that was a key focus: Room for everyone. Her husband Ryan wouldn’t ride in her old car she said; it was too cramped for him. But the Kia Sorento provided plenty of space, even allowing her son Eddie to sit comfortably behind Ryan when he’s in the driver’s seat.
The sliding center row seat in the Sorento HEV X-Line SX Prestige model that Veena test drove allowed Eddie to help Bianca get comfortable in the 3rd row, made it easy for Max to climb into his car seat and the panoramic sunroof gave everyone the feeling of an open, airy cabin.

Getting a Head Start On Tomorrow

After letting the kids zip around the park and get out the zoomies, it’s time to head home and back to reality: Dinner and preparing for the next day. Being able to unload the car and instantly be ready for the morning is important too, which is just one reason a hybrid SUV can make such a difference: fewer stops for gas.
The Kia Sorento’s average 34 MPG in the all wheel drive model Veena tested means she can make lots of trips to the park as well as school runs, errands and thrift store jaunts without stopping for gas.

The Little Things Remind Us What Matters Most

I don’t usually think of the daily grind as where memories are made. Veena thinks about this differently, and I’m grateful. Because it’s true: getting a giggle as you buckle your kid into his car east; looking in the rearview mirror and seeing a smile; watching your four-year-old speeding to keep up with his older brother; the dog excited to rush out of the car because you’ve just arrived at the park.
That’s where our memories are created and how they show up in our minds. And they happen every day.
