A Captain America Jeep? Jeep Wrangler America250 Edition Takes on Marvel Magic
Buckle up. The Jeep Wrangler has massive surprises in store for America's 250th birthday.

There are plenty of reasons to love the Jeep Wrangler. It can conquer the wild with open-air freedom and look great escorting you to a 5-star event. It’s arguably one of the coolest cars one the road, even if you aren’t the type to roll through the mud.
The Jeep Wrangler is solidly a part of our culture, from Barbie and her pink Jeep to Clueless‘s Cher Horowitz who failed her driver’s test in a white YJ model and Lara Croft’s treasure-hunting Wrangler Rubicon. Of course, the real-life fans include Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez as well as record holders and trend-setters: the whole duck trend was started by enthusiast Allison Parliament and iconic racer Jessi Combs breaks records in Wranglers. The Wrangler is the most-entered model in the Rebelle Rally and has accompanied more winners to the podium than any other 4×4.
Could it get any cooler?
This story is 100% human-researched and written based on actual first-person knowledge, extensive experience and expertise on the subject of cars and trucks.
The Jeep Wrangler Is Downright Patriotic

So just when we didn’t think the Jeep Wrangler could get any cooler, Marvel has stepped in to remake over this iconic off-roader as a super hero to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. The Marvel model celebrates freedom and heritage and adds a little nerdy spice to be even more inclusive by involving the nation’s most patriotic super hero. It might even be in an upcoming addition to an incredibly popular movie series.
As America gears up to celebrate its 250th birthday on July fourth, the Jeep Wrangler will also celebrate being recognized as America’s most patriotic brand. Each year, thousands of people vote on the most patriotic brands survey to see what’s connected to American ideals. Ford and General Motors are often runners-up, but fail to grab the top spot.
Jeep’s deep ties to World War II lie in its role as a supplier of vehicles to the United States Army, a fact that sparks patriotic emotions. Veterans of the war were the first to adopt the Jeep SUV as a civilian vehicle and waved at one another with two fingers to represent a V for victory on the roads. So, even the famous Jeep wave has history.
Jeep’s Heritage Blends Nicely With Pop Culture

While the first Jeep Wrangler didn’t arrive until 1986, the first Jeep, known as the Willys MA, arrived back in 1941. Then the first civilian Jeep (CJ) arrived in 1945. But something else you may immediately recognize was also born in 1941 with patriotic roots: the pop culture icon known as Captain America.
That’s why Marvel stepped in to help design the 2026 Jeep Wrangler America250 Edition. The most noticeable feature includes a tire cover based on Captain America’s shield. This is the start of “The Original Superheroes” campaign that reframes heroism by spotlighting actual military veterans. You’ll see real-life men and women with missions that Jeep once supported on the front lines because this type of heroism isn’t fictional.
What Comes With The 2026 Jeep Wrangler 250A Special Edition?

Along with the Captain America shield tire cover, the 2026 Jeep Wrangler 250A special edition features a Jean Blue soft top, red tow hooks, body-color fender flares, steel oxide finished wheels, and 33-inch all-terrain tires. It also has Bright White exterior paint with red and blue decals that are inspired from a 1973 Freedom Edition.
The red, white, and blue patriotic theme continues inside the cabin with Jean Blue upholstery, seats embroidered with the America 250 logo, Velcro patches for personalization on the seat backs, and red seat belts. Plus, it comes with a debossed leather key tag and a limited-edition Captain America Jeep Wrangler America250 comic book.
Underneath the Fun Façade, This Wrangler is All Jeep

Also, the Wrangler 250A is based on the Willys trim. So the all-terrain tires are paired with steel rock rails, a rear locking differential, LED headlights, and fog lights for off-roading. It’s powered by the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. With the standard towing package, it can pull up to 3,500 lbs.
The Wrangler has enhanced door hinges that makes it much easier to remove the doors because tools are no longer needed, and the brand is reviving the option of the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine with 470 HP and 470 pound-feet of torque. Sadly, the efficient 4xe PHEV powertrain was discontinued.
Other features include a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Mopar all-weather floor mats, power windows/door locks, skid plates, automatic headlights, adaptive cruise control, and heated mirrors. The America250 package costs $2,095 and will be available later this summer.
Jeep’s Creative Wrangler Collaborations Are Just the Start

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler America250 Edition is the seventh model in what Jeep is calling the Twelve 4 Twelve program of special editions, releasing one a month with exclusive options. There are even unique ducks and the Original Superheroes series is only part of the Summer of Jeep Campaign, so stay tuned for more.
Also stay tuned for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie that is coming out later this year. Nothing has been officially confirmed, but the Wrangler could make a special appearance in the film. With all that and the America250 Edition, apparently the Jeep Wrangler did just get cooler.
