Major Car Safety Seat Recall
Making sure your child is properly secured in a child safety seat is critical – but so is the ability to get her out of the seat in an emergency. Graco Children’s Products has to recall almost 4 million car seats because the buckles make it difficult to quickly extricate a child.
The far reaching recall includes models from 2009 to 2013. Graco says the recall affects 3.7 child safety seats: the harness buckles used on all toddler convertible car seats and harnessed booster seats can trap a child.
The affected models include these Toddler Convertible Car Seats: Cozy Cline, Comfort Sport, Classic Ride 50, My Ride 65, My Ride 70, My Ride 65 with Safety Surround, Size4Me 70, My Size 70, Head Wise 70 with Safety Surround, Ready Ride, Smart Seat, and Smart Seat with Safety Surround.
Graco is offering a buckle repair kit and recommends cleaning the harness straps to prevent children getting trapped.
