The Fast and the Furious has done it again with Hobbs & Shaw.
You may be asking yourselves what I mean, well after eight films the Fast & Furious franchise has now featured its second spin-off “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw“.
Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham get everyone’s adrenaline pumping as Lawman Luke Hobbs and outcast Deckard Shaw, form an unlikely alliance when a cyber-genetically enhanced villain (Idris Elba) threatens the future of humanity.
Yes, it has been done before, but we just watched the official trailer and trust me when I tell you that it absolutely looks fast, furious and funny! Guess it has to be considering that over its lifetime the Fast & Furious films brought in over $5 billion worldwide. With figures that large, there is no time for half stepping.
We seriously can’t wait to be front and center on August 2, 2019, when it hits the theaters. Check out the official trailer of the movie for yourself below.

Actress, Vanessa Kirby plays Hattie Shaw, a badass MI6 field agent.
She’s also, Shaw’s sister AND Hobb’s love interest in the movie…
Ok, so what’s the deal with the main character always falling for the other’s sister? Hmmm. Either way, we love these forbidden love stories! Can you imagine the banter that will take place between Hobb’s and Shaw throughout the entire movie? They have continuously given body blows and taken hilarious digs at one another since the 2015 Fast & Furious 7. Now that Hobb’s is dating Shaw’s sister, it is going to be something else. So grab your popcorn!
Vanessa Kirby has also played the infamous Princess Margaret on the popular Netflix series The Crown and “X” in the latest Mission Impossible film. We can’t wait to see her in action!
Hattie Shaw’s Character is a little mysterious...
Deckard Shaw was the main villain in Fast & Furious 7. So, it’s quite ironic that his sister, Hattie Shaw would be an agent. But all we know about Hattie’s character so far is what the Rock shared in an Instagram post recently. The agent likes long walks on the beach, being a badass M16 agent, and drinking tequila with Hobbs. We also know that it makes her brother crazy to see her with Hobbs.
We’ll have to wait and see what else the crew has in store for us when the film hits theaters this summer. We’re willing to bet there will be lots of action and sweet rides. However, the car that seems to be grabbing everyone’s attention is the supercar McLaren 720S. You’ll see it in a major chase sequence once the movie is released August 2, 2019. Ohhh we just can’t wait!
