Chevy and Portland’s blogger community raise money for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital with a block party and raffle.

There are two things we can all agree on: that people who dedicate their lives to helping sick kids are saints, and that shopping is a great pastime.
But what if those two things came together as a singular thing: Shopping to help support medical research and treatment for children? OK, hand me the tissue, I might just cry.
Through the generosity of Chevrolet, that is exactly what is happening this week in Portland, Oregon. Chevy Shop Social: Portland brings together KGW-TV anchor Cathy Marshall, alt/dance band Adventure Galley and 15 top influencers who are uncovering some of the best goods in Portland, all of which will be raffled off to benefit the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The raffle will take place at a huge block party at Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square downtown, and attendees can buy a chance to win each of these baskets, valued at $250 or more for only $2—yup, $2 (or 6 tickets for $10!).
