Ford and HSN retool the car buying experience.

Ask most people what they dislike about buying a new car and they say car salesman.  Ford and HSN are offering a limited time partnership, the Ford Preferred Price Event. The promotion, targeted towards women (who are most of HSN’s audience) but available to anyone, offers a preset price on many new Ford vehicles, for HSN customers.

Included as well is a two-year complimentary Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan.

HSN president Bill Brand said in a statement, “We want to take the stress out of car buying.  At HSN, we believe shopping should be fun!”

An HSN customer survey found:

  • The vehicle attributes most important to a female HSN car customer are reliability, reputation of quality, and safety rating
  • Nearly 96% of the respondents are involved in the vehicle purchase decisions in their households; 44 % are the primary decision makers
  • The HSN customer enjoys the hunt for a new vehicle; however, the process can be overwhelming at times. She specifically dislikes the price negotiation process
  •  When shopping for a vehicle, an HSN customer tends to know exactly what type of car she is looking for

The Ford Preferred Price Event is available on: Focus, Fusion, C-MAX, Taurus, Fusion Hybrid, Fusion Energi, C-MAX Hybrid, C-MAX Energi, Focus Electric, Escape, Edge, Flex, Explorer, Expedition, Transit and  Transit Connect. Some Fiesta, Mustang and  F-150 models are also included. And the preferred pricing includes discounts on both purchases and leases.

What is that Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan?

The plan provides two years / 25,000 miles of premium maintenance, covering your routine oil changes, multi-point inspections, and preventive care and replacement of normal wear and tear items.

OK, so how much do I save?

Ford says the savings vary by vehicle; they range from hundreds to thousands of dollars off the MSRP. Which can come in very handy for holiday shopping, or just treating yourself.

Act fast

The discount program ends October 31.
