About Evelyn Kanter

Evelyn Kanter has been reporting about safety, value and destinations for longer than she cares to admit publicly, first in a “previous life” as a consumer reporter for CBS News and ABC News, and since then for publications including AAA and airline inflight magazines, and such major newspapers as the New York Times. She’s written four guidebooks about NY State and her hometown NYC and edited at least a dozen others for Fodor’s and Michelin about some of the 100 countries she’s visited, starting with an eight-month honeymoon adventure through Europe and Africa in a VW Microbus. Evelyn is on the board of the International Motor Press Assn., and a past board member of the Society of American Travel Writers.
