The All New 2021 Genesis G80: Pick Your Level of Luxury and Style

December 27, 2020 by Natalie Merola Leave a Comment

Hello, gorgeous.

Not long ago Genesis revealed the redesigned G80 sedan, noted for its wide front grille, athletic silhouette and slim, modern headlights. The big sister to the much awarded G70, it is the culmination of the Genesis design and engineering team, recruited from world-class luxury brands including Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and BMW.

The Genesis mission is to enable the luxury lifestyle at every turn, from the new white glove Genesis Concierge to the brand’s Service Valet, all of which ensure a seamless ownership experience.

To tell the story in person, Genesis is investing in retail outlets including a retail space designed by Architectural Digest 100-designer Tony Ingrao in NYC’s Hudson Yards, and a luxury show space in the city’s Meatpacking District.

All of this left us to wonder, what is inside this beauty and how much will it set us back?

Young, Modern and Luxe

But, this is Genesis. Everything this brand does amazes us, not just for the quality and abundance of luxuries each model boasts, from the base model to the top, but for the fresh approach to design. At the base model the G80 is accessible, at the top level it’s indulgent.

The G80 starts at under $50,000 with luxe details and top-tier technology. Even at the standard level you’ll feel supported – literally, with lumbar seat adjustments and plenty of  horsepower under your feet. Buyers can choose a 300 or 375 horsepower engine, all-wheel or rear-wheel drive, premium leather, premium sound, a panoramic sun roof and more.

While it’ll be a bit longer before we get to spend time in the G80 in person, we got a look at photos and a rundown of features and pricing. The pampering starts at the Standard level with the attention to detail in the interior; in the Prestige model the G80 piles on style and performance.

The Genesis Model Lineup

There are 3 packages for the 4-cylinder 300-horsepower turbocharged 2.5T model: Standard, Advanced and Prestige, and each is available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Move up to the 6-cylinder 375 horsepower turbo 3.5T edition and there are two choices, Standard or Prestige, both also with an all-wheel drive option. And, within each model level there are a lot of luxuries, so buyers can pick the level of luxe that fits their lives.

Not Just a Luxury Car, a Lifestyle

There’s a distinction between buying a luxury car for the sake of luxury versus investing in the style, comfort and performance that fits your life. Add to that service programs that respect your time and cater to your needs, and features that make driving fun and stressless, and that’s real luxury.

And we love that Genesis gets that. With a price starting under $50,000 to just under $70,000 for a fully-loaded luxe ride, you can pick the level of luxe that fits your life.
