Sports car enthusiats said it couldn’t be done, but Tesla founder Elon Musk woudn’t listen: Despite the naysayers, Musk pulled in foreward thinking design and engineering and built a revolutionary sports car: It has all the speed and muscle of a sports car, but runs on electricity. It’s seen more in California than on the East Coast, but not for long: Tesla was named Motor Trend’s Car of the Year!
