2021 Chevy Trailblazer AWD RS: 6 Things We Absolutely Love
You could say I’m a Chevy girl.
My first car was a bright yellow 4-door Chevrolet Chevette my dad bought my sister and me back in the ’70s. That car took all my girlfriends everywhere. My second car and most proud was a brand new 1978 metallic brown Chevrolet Camaro that my parents helped me buy after graduating from high school. That hot rod turned heads! Fast forward many years, I’ve owned and leased many Chevy vehicles and loved every one of them.
The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer fit right in with my repertoire of vehicles, but this was the only red Chevy I’ve driven… and I love red! It’s a compact SUV that I got to drive for a weekend to a much-needed getaway down south. But the most exciting part of our trip was I didn’t have to spend much on gas and that my son got to plug in his Nintendo Switch, which made our trip all the better. No whining from the backseat!

1. A Mom’s Must: Keyless Entry And Great Gas Mileage
The keyless entry and start feature is a lifesaver. With groceries in one hand and your purse, child, or dog in the other, it’s a feature moms can’t live without!
And, with 28 MPG, I was able to spend more on our shopping trips! Both of those options are perfect for long road trips, too. If you’ve ever done most of the driving during a long day, you know that stopping as little as possible is ideal, so great gas mileage is a must.

2. The Perfect Small 5-Passenger Seating SUV
The 2021 Trailblazer is the perfect size for small families with lots of baggage. We had plenty of space for the kids and all the luggage we brought along with us—a great option if you’re not a light packer. And, I whipped in and out of parking spaces like nobody’s business. Now, you should see what my son discovered when I turned off the car. It surprised him as it did me.
Let me know what you think in a comment.
3. The Color Red
The color red has been my favorite color since I was a little girl, yet I’ve never owned or leased a red car. Not sure why. When I drove the Chevy Trailblazer to our weekend getaway, all I could think about was why I have never had a red car and this awesome ride. Not for the color (well, maybe—you always feel a little sexier in a red car) but for the smooth ride, the safeness I felt, and the fact that my boy was happy in the back seat the whole way there. More about that last one below.

4. 2021 Chevy Trailblazer Interior
Nice and spacious and that little touch of red makes the car one of my favorites! This 2021 Trailblazer is equipped with everything a person needs to have a safe and fun road trip, including a whole suite of driver assistance features. I was very spoiled driving to our Georgetown, TX getaway—but now I know what I want in my next Chevy.
5. Panoramic, Dual-Pane Sunroof
Before I get to my son’s absolute favorite thing about this Chevy SUV, we both agree that the dual-pane sunroof was one of the vehicle’s best features and will be one of our next must-haves. It made our road trip much more enjoyable. Not only does the front seat passengers get to enjoy sunlight, so do the backseat riders. A win-win for us, especially when you’re on the road all day.
6. Kid-Approved Electronics
Electronics are a must on road trips. I don’t allow my son to use them at our destination, but road trips are wide open for whatever makes him happy! It makes the drive much more comfortable for both of us when the kids in the back are satisfied. So, having a power outlet for his Nintendo Switch was a life-saver. My current vehicle does not have it. This kid was super happy.
Full disclosure: Chevy provided the Trailblazer for me to review. All opinions are my own.
