The 2026 Infiniti QX60 in Deep Emerald green

Anyone who has looked at the Infiniti QX80 for its luxury and innovative features and felt a pang of indecision, knowing that such a large SUV is too big for you, there’s good news: many of the iconic details in the QX80 are making their way into the Infiniti QX60 for 2026.

We got a sneak peek at the 2026 model recently and were really happy to see how some of the QX80’s best features made their way into the smaller 3-row, 6 or 7 passenger Infiniti QX60. Overall, the new look is sleeker and more toned with an elegant new face and tight, modern details front and back. New technology inside advances the already intuitive QX60 from its last makeover, which just rolled out in 2022.

This story is 100% human-researched and written based on actual first-person knowledge, extensive experience, and expertise on the subject of cars and trucks.

QX80’s Design Details Bring a Fresh Look and Feel to the QX60

There were a few things I really loved in the Infiniti QX80: the bamboo-inspired front grille, which uses angled vertical slats to give a feel of motion and elegance to the front face; the linear ‘piano key’ lights that frame a wide new grille; standard 20” wheels and dark chrome or black design accents that pull focus away from specific details and lend to a more sophisticated design flow.

Inside, the QX80’s marquis details such as the Klipsch sound system, head rests with built-in speakers—featured on the Autograph model—and a Google-driven multimedia system with voice activated assistance will also be featured on the QX60

Infiniti QX60 Is On Its Style Game In the New Sport Model

The 2026 Infiniti iQX60 lineup will feature a new premium trim, the Sport model, denoted by a more athletic look, blacked exterior details, a mesh grille and the option of a black roof.

The model we saw was dressed in a dark blue leather interior that, with open poor wood, dark chrome and the lower dash, lower door panels, center console and carpets finished in black, give a subtly sophisticated feel.

The rest of the trim lineup includes Luxe, Pure and Autograph, which allow good choices for every buyer, from basic to elevated luxury.

New Technology Will Change the Ride in the 2026 Infiniti QX60

The 2026 model snagged some other cool features from the QX80: Google built-in, ProPilot Assist 2.1 and the surround view camera system with and ‘invisible hood’ view.

The Infiniti QX 60 will feature built in google maps and apps, as well as “hey Google” voice assistance. This is in addition to wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, giving you layers of comfortable, familiar tech function. Buyers who opt for head up display will see turn by turn directions in the display as well as on the main screen.

And then, there’s ProPilot Assist 2.1, a semi-hands-free drive assist system. It pairs adaptive cruise control with hands-free driving—this monitors your lane and traffic around you—so on certain roads, mostly interstate and limited access highways that the system has mapped, you can set the system and take your hands off the wheel. The system does monitor the driver to ensure she’s paying attention and will notify the driver if she needs to take over.

The surround view camera system is a great thing to have in any circumstance, but adding the under-car view, or invisible hood, is even better; you can see what’s around the car and then, see it make its way under the car—or better, see that you’ve successfully driven around it.

We got to try this out in the Infiniti QX80 as well as the 2025 Nissan Armada and can say, it’s great. Once you get used to using a system like this you’re not only a more relaxed driver, but you also wish everyone else on the road had it too.

The Same Engine, But Updated For a Better Ride

For 2026, Infiniti kept the same 2.4L turbo engine that generates 268 HP, but refined it for a quieter ride and a more responsive feel on the road. The idea is to ensure that every passenger feels comfortable and cared for on both daily drives and long hauls. Multiple drive modes and AWD also help to maintain stability and comfort on the road.

Aiding this is something Infiniti devised in the 2021 redesign and kept for 2026: Theater seating. Essentially, the center row sits a bit higher than the front row, and the 3rd row sits a bit higher than the center row. With a higher vantage point, the panoramic sunroof and side windows for all passengers, everyone has visibility and will feel better stability during the drive, reducing the possibility of car sickness.

We have driven the last model year a few times and love its confident acceleration and feel on the road. It’s competent and comfortable and even though the engine is on the smaller side, the turbo gives it plenty of power for highway merges, even with you have passengers in tow—as I did on our first drive.

Favorite Features Keep the Familiar Feel of the Infiniti QX60

In addition to the theater-style seating, Infiniti also showed the removable center row console box, a low cupholder and storage box that can easily pop out to create a passthrough— a feature we really loved in the 2021 redesign.

Also remaining in the new model are the slide and tilt center row seats; for buyers who opt for the bench or don’t want to remove the center row console, outboard seats can slide and tilt forward, even with a child car seat installed, to access the 3rd row. Infiniti was one of the first 3-row SUVs we saw with this simple approach and it’s been much copied since (which we also like: good features should become common ones).

Infiniti will also continue to offer a digital rear view mirror, massaging front seats, a panoramic sunroof and elegant quilted leather interiors.

What Else Remains from the 2021 Redesign

While many of the new details on the Infiniti QX80 have made their way to the QX60, not all did. The 2026 QX60 will keep its screen setup: a driver display and separate rectangular center screen, rather than the expansive linear screen in the QX80.

The center console command center also remains untouched, with a separate climate control panel above and key functions arrayed on the console: the palm-sized gear selector, multimedia buttons, drive mode selector and drive assist function buttons. Th console also holds a wireless phone charger, cup holders and storage under the arm rest.

Green Is Back! Great Color Choices, Same Great Size and Space

You know when you see a favorite color return and it feels fresh and modern? And you start looking for it everywhere because you need that in your life again? That was the feeling seeing the Infiniti QX60 in a deep, reflective Emerald Green, a new color for 2026. Premium trims—Autograph and Sport—can also be optioned with a contrasting black roof, another detail we saw on the QX80.

For 2026 Infiniti hasn’t changed the overall size and capacity of the QX60: it remains 198” long and has cargo capacity of 14.5 cubic feet behind the 3rd row and 41.6 cubic feet behind the second row.

Infiniti will announce pricing closer to the start of production and sales; current pricing starts at $50,200 and tops out at $66,100 before options and destination charges. And who knows where market conditions will take pricing, though so far Infiniti has worked to preserve pricing in the face of tariffs and other issues and we hope the good will continues. After getting a sneak peek, we’re excited to get behind the wheel of the 2026 Infiniti QX60.
