2019 Cadillac XT4: Luxury Keeps Everyone Happy. And That Matters

A Girls Guide To Cars | 2019 Cadillac Xt4: Luxury Keeps Everyone Happy. And That Matters - Cadillac Xt4 Profile Featured

Space and luxury in the 2019 Cadillac XT4 keep everyone happy when quarters are close and the road is long.

We are no strangers to long road trips but, it can become difficult to ensure everyone is comfortable. Because all people think of is “How far is it?” or “How much longer?”…. Yes! Those questions that you just dread to hear, and it is a constant. But a recent trip, to my surprise, was different this time.

The Cadillac XT4 provided enough leg room for my two tall children. They instantly relaxed deep into the back seat as if they were relaxing on a couch.  The drive was as smooth riding for the passengers as it was for me. I don’t love to drive long distances, but this time I just didn’t mind. Something about the ride allowed me to maintain my energy for the entire ride instead of suffering driver’s fatigue, as I usually do.

The XT4 was great on local roads and the seemingly endless highways, making this was one of the few enjoyable long distance trips that we’ve had together. Nothing can replace the timeliness of a plane, but having the freedom to drive when you want, stop where you want and getting 29MPG is a bonus.

And I knew this this car made the difference in our experience because there was no grumbling about the long ride home.

Who is the Cadillac XT4 for…

  • People who want a luxury compact SUV
  • Cadillac lovers
  • Families or couples with children
  • Drivers wanting all wheel drive
  • Performance driving junkies
  • Drivers concerned about safety on the road
  • Speed enthusiasts
  • Drivers who want comfort on the road

How Much Does this Luxury Crossover Cost?

Standard vehicle price is $41,795 but the optional packages add to the luxury of the vehicle. Technology drives our lives so why not have it ready at your fingertips since we spend the majority of our time in the car?

The technology package is $1,650 and includes:

  • Wireless charging
  • Air ionizer
  • Power tilt and telescoping steering column
  • Cornering front LED headlamps
  • LED turn signals
  • 8″ Driver’s gauge cluster
  • Head-up display

We drove the car to the beautiful mountains of Vermont and seeing the sky through the dual panel powered sunroof with glass tilt and sliding ($1,550) seemed was a reminder of why traveling is a great teacher.

Add the Cadillac User Experience with  navigation ($1,500), driver assist package ($1,100) and driver awareness package ($775) to stay connected alert and safe. These might have been my favorite options.

Other available options:

  • Enhanced visibility package, which includes a live view rear view mirror and surround view camera ($1,500)
  • 20” alloy wheels with diamond cut/medium android finish ($1,100)
  • Comfort and convenience package, which includes leather seating, power front seats and massaging seats ($1,050)
  • Cold Weather package, which includes heated front and rear seats and a heated steering wheel ($850)
  • Shadow Metallic paint ($625)
  • Trailering package ($300)
  • Total Options ($11,995)

The XT4 that we drove was loaded with all the options for a grand total of $54,785. Not bad for a luxury SUV with this much to offer.

Reasons to Love the XT4

There will be no fighting for USB charging, as there are enough to keep everyone happy.  Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect seamlessly and with WI-FI so you can easily work on the road. A functioning infotainment center is a must because as a busy family; I don’t have time to solve technology mysteries.

Kid Approved Sound System… If You Can Stand Their Music!

The Bose sound system is a plus to the added benefits of owning a Cadillac. My kids loved this even more than I did. I could not help but laugh when they announced that they didn’t need to wear their headphones. They loved the Bose crystal clear sound and listened the entire ride home. Thankfully it was music I could listen to, too.

I never thought I would be a Cadillac girl but the XT4 definitely won me over. We test drove it during a very busy week – five lacrosse games, two birthday celebrations and a road trip to Vermont. The luxury and comfort is beyond superior and if you spend as much time in your car as I do, you’ll appreciate it. Everyone who rides with you will, too. And that’s what matters.
