Dust Off Your Boots and Head to the Dallas Fort Worth Auto Show

And meet the newest Texan: Toyota

A few years ago Toyota made a huge announcement: The company would move its North American headquarters to Plano, Texas. This past summer marked the completion of that promise, and the company’s employees started to move into the new HQ.

The move to Texas makes total sense; Toyota is big on trucks and 4 wheel drive vehicles– the kind that are great for  work and off road fun. They’re also big on luxury and family cars, and on innovative cars that are sensitive to the environment. And with an estimated 4,000 employees, in addition to the many companies that supply parts and services, Toyota needs a lot of room for its operations. There’s plenty of that in Texas.

So we are honored to help welcome Toyota to the Dallas Fort Worth Auto Show as a partner. We will be on hand at the show on February 14th to show off all the show has to offer, including Toyota’s latest offerings.

Did Someone Say Luxury???

Yes! We are excited to get a close up look at the all new 2019 Avalon, Toyota’s top-grade sedan, which just underwent a complete makeover. In the new Avalon you’ll find Wifi (yes Wifi!!!), Qi wireless phone charging, Amazon Alexa, Apple Car Play and smart watch connectivity. It also has Toyota Safety Sense, Toyota’s suite of active safety features including blind spot monitors, lane departure assistance and crash mitigation.

The Avalon also has a fresh look that sports the new signature Toyota grille, a sculpted modern look that reminds us of the front end of a Lexus. Visitors to the DFW Auto Show will be among the first to see the 2019 Avalon, which made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show last month.

Maybe not quite so luxury in scope, but certainly in terms of quality of life is the RAV4 Adventure. The RAV4 has been given a full suite of features so it’s the perfect car for camping, towing a jet ski and you can toss your wet, muddy gear in and just rinse out the mats. It’s great for families with football players, so, pretty much any family in Texas.

Other models we are excited to see are the Tundra and Tacoma trucks, which are built in San Antonio, and the new Camry, the top selling sedan in the country and which was redesigned last year.

And for buyers who might be looking for a car for a teen or or new college graduate, the C-HR is a must see. This small coupe-inspired crossover is filled with modern design and safety features and carries a super affordable price tag of about $22K. Just don’t mention this car to your teen unless you’re ready to buy.

Why Should You Go to an Auto Show?

Auto shows are the best place to shop for a new car. They minimize that stress of buying a car because there are no salesmen on the show floor to put pressure on you as you browse around. You can enjoy the experience of looking at several cars and sitting inside to get a feel for them without someone approaching you. Then, you’ll know which car meets your needs and have more confidence when you head to the dealership. On the show floor at the Dallas Fort Worth Auto Show experts are available to answer all of your questions in a relaxing and fun environment.

The 2018 DFW Auto Show returns on February 14-18, 2018 to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The show is open 10AM -10PM Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 10AM until 7PM on Sunday. Those who want to get an early look at the show can visit between 4PM and 10PM on Wednesday. Tickets are $14 for adults, $7 for kids and seniors and children 5 and under are free. This year the show is offering a military discount on tickets for active members; tickets are $10 and are only available for purchase at the box office during the show.

If you’re in the market for a new car, this is why going to an auto show is so important.
