Pampered by the Chrysler 300C Platinum.
Confession – I’ve always had a special adoration for the Chrysler 300. There is just something about its sleek lines, sporty appearance with a 5.7 Liter engine option, and its comfortable yet elegant interior design that draws me in. Last week I got the chance to drive my dream car, the 2015 Chrysler 300C Platinum, for a whole 7 days. Of course going into the week I had a preset thought of what to expect – although what I actually found during those 7 days was so much more. If you’re looking for a stylish car, that’s fun to drive and that has an extra level of pampering included, you might want to take a closer look at the Chrysler 300C Platinum.
Luxury design both inside and out
While the gorgeous front end design of the Chrysler 300C Platinum and sporty 20 inch polished aluminum wheels are enough to turn heads, the luxury elements of the car do not stop there. Inside the car I was immediately drawn to the high end combination of wood grain and leather trim, plus the eye catching illuminations of blue lighting on the dash. The sporty leather seats with both heating and cooling options allowed me to sink right into my spot comfortably while the fully heated steering wheel kept my hands warm as our November weather has started to chill.
The car was easy to start with the convenience of the push start/stop button design and with minimal force I was able to switch the gears into drive with just a small turn of rotary shifter.
Next to me my morning coffee was kept warm in the heated and cooled front console cup holders, which are switched on and off with the touch of a button. Both options worked incredibly well and the cool option even chilled a beverage for me that went in at room temperature.
All of the daily used elements of the car such as the radio, heat, air and fan were easily controlled through the touchscreen system. Added elements such navigation, apps, and control over the rear sunshade were also easily accessed here. With the Uconnect technology of this vehicle WiFi is also available. Although there were a lot of buttons, I found everything to be laid out in a comprehensive way and had no struggles with navigation through the options quickly and easily.
The rear seats, where my children enjoyed their own command center with drink holders and storage, had ample personal space. They also had their own option of heated seating and a gorgeous view out of the dual-pane panoramic sunroof. When not in use or to create a third seat space, the command center folds up and fits into the back seat, creating a seamless bench seat row.
I was both happy and surprised to find large trunk space with an elastic band to help keep my groceries and Halloween pumpkins from rolling around and clunking in the trunk as I transported them home. With this car it seemed that everything was in its place and well taken care of.
Sporty and safe drive
As a mother who loves cars, I am always on the lookout for a vehicle that is not only stylish, but also one that can keep my family safe while still being fun to drive. With the 5.7 liter Hemi engine which provides 363 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque plus the large array of safety features in the Chrysler 300C Platinum my wishes came true. The car handled like a sports car, hugging the road and easing through acceleration with minimal foot pressure, all while the lane departure warning, front and rear park assist system and blind spot/cross path detection warnings kept me on my toes. Each of these features warned me with a beep or by automatically correcting my movements. With the lane departure warning the steering wheel would correct itself automatically and bring me back when I started to drift from the center of my lane. With the cross path detection warnings, the car music would turn off and the car would beep until it was safe to proceed with backing up.
