March 31, 2018 by Scotty Reiss Leave a Comment

New York Auto Show 2018

Spring dreaming? There’s plenty to dream about here!

The show opened on Good Friday and it’s the perfect destination for one of New York’s busiest weeks of the year: With many schools on break, families are heading to the Big Apple and catching the auto show. It’s a great way to have fun and plan for your next car.

There are a lot of great things to do and see at the New York Auto Show, and you can even enter to win free tickets for the show or some great tech gear; keep reading to find out how. And while you’re at the show here are some things to check out:

Get Your Picture Taken

Diane Nassy shows how to make the impossible possible, which showcases Toyota’s mission to make sports and competition possible for para athletes and to make ultimate economy a reality for drivers.

What Should You Wear to an Auto Show?

Try Out the Sound Systems

And fine the one that is right for you! It’s one of the most important features in a car and the one we DON’T test drive before we buy.

The 2019 hatchback @toyotausa Corolla is a crowd pleaser at this year’s #NYIAS!! The color blue is REALLY growing on me too! #ToyotaNYIAS #girlsnightoutNYIAS #NYIAS

Meet the women of our team at the New York Auto Show.

Discover Cars With Fantastic Details

OK, this is brilliant: The Volvo V60 has a hidden tow hitch that keeps your bumper clean and pretty.

Not only is the new Volvo V60 so friggin drop dead gorgeous, but the factory tow hitch leaves me speechless. #volvo #v60 #volvov60 #towing #towhitch #instacar #carsofinstagram #nyias #nyias2018

See Into the Future: Concept Cars

These aren’t what they used to be. Concepts are typically a new car model in the works and  show off the brand’s evolving design and features, such as streamlined silhouettes or panoramic sun roofs. Here are some of the concept cars on display at the New York Auto Show:

Want to see a radical, futuristic concept car? Look no further than the @genesis_usa Essentia. Other concepts at #nyias appeared more practical and production-ready than concept cars of old. . . . . #cargurus @volkswagen @lincoln @mazdausa #nyautoshow @nyautoshow #autoshow #concepts

Yes, that’s a Genesis and yes, it’s electric: The Essentia concept

How to finance your dream car.

Family Cars Are Still the Thing

The redesigned Hyundai Santa Fe brings more style to a favorite SUV.

Sleeker. Smarter. Sexier. Yesterday, @hyundaiusa unveiled the 2019 Santa Fe at #NYIAS! We mentioned in our previous episode of ‘Car Talk’ about the reveal and now we saw it up close! The new Santa Fe will most likely have the 2.0T as well as the 2.4-liter inline four engine. However, a new diesel option will be available! Expect the new Santa Fe to go on sale this August. #hyundai #2019santafe #newpossibilities

Toyota introduced the sleeker, sportier redesigned RAV4. We loved the last model but this one takes it all up a bit with more capability and function, including Apple CarPlay!

Oh what a night! @girlsguide2cars hosted an amazing evening at the @nyautoshow – beautiful cars and more! #GirlsNightOutNYIAS #NYIASGETSOCIAL #hosted . . . #cars #nyautoshow2018 #conceptcar #conceptcars

And try out some old family faves; the Mazda CX-9 still makes our heart beat a bit faster, as much for its gorgeous design and luscious interior as for its third row that makes taking the in-laws along for the ride an option.

#ad| The @newyorkautoshow is nothing short of amazing! I absolutely loved learning more about the @mazdausa brand. I love learning more about this car and all of the effort that goes into each and every car design. #girlsnightoutnyias #mazdanyias #nyiasgetsocial #carshow #2018carshow @agirlsguide2cars #newyorkautoshow #newyork #nyc

Or this? If you’re a sucker for pretty face, don’t miss the Alfa Romeo Giulia Nero Edizione, a black and white style package that really sets off the brand’s district styling.

We aimed to steal the spotlight at #NYIAS, and it was easy with our newest look: the seductive Nero Edizione. • #GiuliaNeroEdizione #StelvioNeroEdizione #AlfaRomeo #AwakenTheDrive #SportsCar #DreamCar #SuperCar #ItalianCar #ItalianStyle #Italian #CarsOfInstagram #InstaCar #Auto #Automotive
