Almost as fun as the Mustang GT Convertible
Ford announced a special line of OPI Nail polish back during the New York Auto Show in April and I have been waiting for them to arrive at my local salon ever since. Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mustang, I lucked out when Ford sent me a Pony Pack which has four mini Mustang-themed bottles.

There are six colors available, each with appropriate Mustang names. There’s Race Red, 50 Years of Style, Girls Love Ponies, Angel with a Leadfoot, Queen of the Road, and The Sky’s My Limit with all but the last two coming in the OPI Mustang Pony Pack. I have never been so excited to head to the salon for a manicure!
Color Me Happy
I walked in, OPI Ford Mustang Pony Pack tucked in my purse, and tried not to smile too giddily when I showed my nail tech the colors. She was just as excited as I was since she hadn’t seen them in the real world, yet. Of course, I went with Race Red because it seemed like the right thing to do.

It looked absolutely beautiful and when my appointment was over, the women at the front desk commented that they didn’t recognize the color. Once again, I pulled the Mustang Pony Pack from my purse and everyone oohed and ahhed over the beautiful colors. The Girls Love Ponies, a bright pink, was the favorite with Race Red running a close second.
And it wasn’t just the colors, but the whole idea of it that had everyone smiling. Even the other clients at the desk thought it was a fantastic way to celebrate the Mustang’s 50th birthday. I went back each week until I had a chance to try all the colors, but nothing can beat what happened the second week.

Gotta have it green Ford Mustang.
It just so happened that a 2014 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible showed up for me to test drive. It was in a bright Gotta Have It Green and it was absolutely beautiful. I parked in front of the salon in this can’t miss car, and everyone’s jaws dropped.
It was a wonderful and colorful coincidence, and I drove the Mustang all week wearing Mustang nail polish, feeling very much the Ford fangirl and absolutely loving it. There was only one issue that we all had with the line of polish. As beautiful as all the colors are, there is no crazy Gotta Have It Green.

Maybe Ford can plan on adding that to the mix for the Mustang’s next big birthday?
