Thinking Of A New Car? You Should Wait For These Stunners!

I have just returned from the New York International Auto Show and let me tell you, I was blown away! While there are many luxury cars, and concept cars, I was more focused on what is actually coming in the near future from automakers. From a Jeep that can hit the race track to a newly designed Hyundai Sonata, here are four family cars coming soon to a dealership near you. Buckle up because you are in for a treat.

If You'Re In The Market For A New Car, Wait For 2108! The Family Cars Coming Soon Include A Speedy Jeep, A Sexy Sonata And A Luxury Suv.

  1. Subaru Ascent

Subaru is adding this crossover to the portfolio of family-friendly hatchbacks and wagons. And it is gorgeous! The Ascent will be built in Lafayette, Ind., and is exclusive to the North American market. It will have room for up to eight passengers and offer all wheel drive. And it will offer plenty of space–make that tons of space–for families, rivaling its SUV competition. Subaru has a loyal fan base, but it couldn’t cater to larger families–until now.

“This is a product that allows that generation that grew up liking Subaru to stay with us,” Subaru of America president Tom Doll said at the show. The final product that will roll out mid-2018 will be introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show in early December 2017.

2. Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai believes “Happy Drivers are Better Drivers” and the all new redesigned Sonata will make you happy. It has been three years since the Sonata has seen a redesign and they blew it out of the water. The refreshed Sonata has a sloping front end with creases running down the hood and around the fog lights as well as a cascading front grill design, giving it a sportier look.

Also added are LED daytime running lights and headlights with dynamic bending abilities to adjust to winding roads. On the back end, the Sonata gets a more detailed taillight design and a larger badge, which doubles as a trunk release button.

The interior of the 2018 Sonata will offer a standard seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a Qi wireless phone-charging pad. We will see this model available mid-summer.

3. Jeep Grand Cherokee Track Hawk

Do you have a need for speed in your outdoor lifestyle? If so, this is the Jeep for you. The Track Hawk will be the most powerful SUV on the market with a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine. Yes, you read that correctly: a supercharged engine with 707hp under the hood. While the Track Hawk may look like a Jeep on the outside, it will certainly satisfy your need for speed.

“There is a very defined customer base out there that wants a sport SUV,” said Jeep vehicle integration manager Paul Mackiewicz. “They want a sports car with the capabilities of having an SUV: able to tow and able to drive a sports car all year round. And that’s what this car enables. It is ultimate performance, all year round, in any condition.”

If you have a need for speed and want the space of an SUV, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Track Hawk will hit the show floor in late 2017.

4. KIA Rio

In the market for a hatchback? Take a look at the 2018 KIA Rio. Power and speed aren’t a priority with the Rio as it comes solely from a 130 horsepower 1.6-liter inline four. That’s a decent amount of power for this class, just not a race car by any means.

On the outside, the 2018 Rio cuts a dashing, aerodynamic profile with its sculpted silhouette and seamlessly integrated front grille and bumper. Inside, the sporty interior features modern upgrades, like available combination leather and cloth seat trim, along with ample legroom, shoulder room, and cargo volume.

Safety comes standard in the 2018 Rio. From Electronic Stability Control, to Hill-Start Assist Control, the 2018 Rio is confidence behind the wheel. A practical and affordable car, the KIA Rio will be sold in late 2017.

The Future Of Automotive

I couldn’t leave out my favorite reveal of the entire auto show, the Genesis GV80. It’s still  in production so the concept vehicle was on display and it blew me away. Genesis is in its infant stages as a luxury brand, and it is not slowing down anytime soon. The Genesis GV80 will be a hydrogen fuel cell SUV–a green car in the luxury market–can we say game changer?

The focus is on the design of the GV80, and while we don’t know what will be under the hood,we did get exterior and interior details.  The front end of the GV80 showcases the signature Genesis crest grille with a slightly rounded profile. One of the most prominent features is the horizontal quad lights, which will be the new look for all future models for the brand. I was beyond blown away by this model and cannot wait to see it evolve from a concept vehicle to the future in automotive.
