You’re Gonna Love What The Rock Is Driving!

Okay, we couldn’t resist. We had to start with a slogan similar to his popular tag line from his pro wrestling days. “You’re gonna love what The Rock is cooking!” Sorry, I’m showing my age.  We thought we’d shake things up a bit and give you a treat, or shall we say, some eye candy, with this month’s celebrity car collection. He’s one of our favorite actors, action heroes and he’s pretty easy on the eyes too. Let’s check out what cars make it into the Rock’s garage and which ones he loves to work with while on set.

Off To Work We Go

In addition to several movies being released in the coming months, The Rock also stars in the hit HBO series ‘Ballers’ where he plays a million dollar sports agent. For sports agents, Ferraris are a daily commuter car. I’ll take the yellow, please.

Deals Aren’t Made On A Golf Course. They’re Made in A Rolls Royce

When you’re an agent you make deals in a Rolls, or close to one. I spy a Rolls Royce Dawn. Sublime. That suit? Not so much. Sorry Rock. It’s still a fabulous car no matter how you’re dressed.

What Are We Riding In Today?

It must be in his contract that he has to be surrounded by fabulous cars while working.  Here he’s relaxing by a beautiful Bentley Bentayga. It is a gorgeous SUV inside and out.  Unparalleled luxury. BTW that’s Academy Award winner Denzel Washington’s son John David, one of the Rock’s co-stars in the HBO series. Good looks run in that family too!

I Like Big Trucks, I Cannot Lie!

I couldn’t resist (that’s the last one, I promise). I think this one suits him best: I thought, as a Ford Ambassador, he would have picked a hot sporty Mustang, but he chose the rugged and handsome (just like he is) Ford F150 for his personal everyday car. Being a Ford ambassador has its privileges. (P.S. Ford, I’m available too.)

Surprise!  This One’s Yours!

The Rock spreads the love with family and friends. Here he helped FORD surprise deserving Veteran & Purple Heart recipient Marlene Rodriguez with a brand new 2018 Ford Mustang!

This one felt good. Very good. ?? Our @Ford partners asked me to unveil the never seen before, brand new 2018 FORD MUSTANG to the world. As their Ambassador, I'm happy to do. With a twist. Myself and Ford compiled a big list of US veterans and from that list, I chose Army combat vet & Purple Heart recipient, Marlene Rodriguez to surprise and give it away to her. It was such a cool moment that all of us in the room will never forget. When Marlene, stopped and just looked at me and asked "Why?", well that's when I may or may not have gotten a lil' emotional with my answer – in a bad ass manly way of course. Why? Because of the boundless gratitude and respect I have for you, Marlene and all our men and women who've served our country. Just a small way of myself and the good people of FORD of saying THANK YOU. A HUGE thank you to FORD, our SEVEN BUCKS PRODUCTIONS and everyone who was involved in making this awesome surprise come true. Finally, thank you FORD for making the new 2018 Mustang straight ?, completely customizable for the world to enjoy. Thanks also for making sure I fit in it as well. Marlene, fits better. ?. Dad…I Have A Little Something Special For You!

It’s all about the smile. He loves to surprise his Mom & Dad with gifts. Here he gives his Dad, former pro-wrestler Rocky Johnson, a new Ford Explorer for Christmas. Since Dad doesn’t ask for much, The Rock surprises him often. Gotta love it!

Bought my dad a Christmas gift and surprised him. He's had a hard life. This one felt good. My dad, Rocky Johnson is a minimalist. Always has been. Never asks me for much and over the years his needs are always the barest. Crazy story, my dad's dad died when he was 13yrs old. That Christmas, my dad's mom had her new boyfriend over for Christmas dinner. Her boyfriend got drunk and pissed on the turkey. My dad went outside, got a shovel, drew a line in the snow and said if you cross that line I'll kill you. The drunk crossed it and my dad laid him out cold as a block of ice. Cops were called. They told my dad's mom that when her boyfriend regains consciousness, he's gonna kill your son so one of them has got to go. In front of the entire family, my dad's mom looked at him and said get out. He was 13yrs old and now homeless. That f*cked up true story happened in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1954. He needed the bare minimum then, just like does now. Over the years, I've moved him into a big home, got him trucks to drive – which he'll literally drive into the ground until I get him something else. Hell, I'll get him anything he wants, but the SOB just won't ask;). Every Christmas, I always think about that story and my dad having every odd stacked against him at 13, but he fought thru it and still made something of himself. Makes me appreciate his struggle and hard work. Also, makes me appreciate the fun times he would beat my ass in the gym so bad when I was 13 and say "If you're gonna throw up, go outside.. and if you're gonna cry, then go home to your mother". I hated it then, but I embrace it now. Made a man outta me. Without pissing on my turkey. ???. Just a small way of saying thank you dad and Merry Christmas! #DwantaClaus??

Mom…I Didn’t Forget You, I Have Something Special For You Too!

In an interview, The Rock once told the story of how his Mom’s car was repossessed when he was a kid and he remembered how she cried and cried. One Christmas he replaced that sad memory with tears of joy and happiness! A brand new Cadillac makes everything better. Funny thing, she wanted a red one. Okay Momma. #WeLoveTheRock

#TBT Surprising my mom with a new car for Christmas. Couldn't remember what her favorite color was between white or red, so I went with white. A few weeks later she was curious as to why I chose white and not her favorite color, red? I told her I couldn't remember her favorite color so I went with white, but I would return the car and get her a new red one?! She looked at me like I had three heads and said "Are you crazy? Nooooo way, I love my white car! I'm so grateful. I was just curious." I even contemplated secretly taking her car from her garage and having it replaced with a new red one, but thought I better not and just leave well enough alone. Then as fate would have it, she was hit head on by a drunk driver – she survived. Her white car was completely totaled and she wound up getting a replacement car of the color she always wanted… Red. Funny (and gratefully) how things work out the way they're meant to. And still to this day she says that white car saved my life. #GoodOlFashionFate #IsAlwaysColorBlind

Okay Dad, You’re Funny & Kinda Cute

He’s a great actor, cool car collector, and a fabulous gift giver.  But at the end of the day, he’s just a fun loving Dad who has fun and embarrasses his daughters just like our Dads, husbands and brothers.

 

The Rock is definitely one of our favorites.  He also seems to be a great guy, who loves family and giving back to the community. But he’s also pretty hot (in my opinion).  Here’s one last distraction for you: You can print out this gift tag that promotes his upcoming movie ‘Baywatch’ … you can thank us later.
